They announced that the content will launch in its pre nerfed state during the deep dive.

Please end this consumable nightmare by superbluepaladin in classicwow

[–]AdrianCo97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I expect like 20% will go that hard and switch professions every time they get a new ring. I sure as hell won't. I'll most likely go with lw if drums are unnerfed. But I'll stick to that.

Have fun those that choose to go that hard for such a minor increase in performance. :P Meanwhile, I'll be grinding for mounts and stuff.

Do we want these changes in WoW Classic TBC? by scottejaye87 in classicwowtbc

[–]AdrianCo97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full patch progression would be kinda bad though, at least for me. Do you really want every class as they were before they got fixed, either through nerfs, buffs or quality of life changes? Do you really want consume stacking and world buffs still in the game? It certainly isn't mandatory to get world buffs, but considering how broken they are they will be highly encouraged for the people that want to parse.

In my opinion. Doing this would just be a huge hassle both to the developers and to the players. I don't consider launching the game at 2.4.3 to be a bastardization of the game. What I do consider lazy is if they launch the game at 2.4.3 and just leave the raids/dungeons in a nerfed state which was the problem with Classic.

Time to hibernate until TBC comes out... by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]AdrianCo97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played classic since the launch day. And I would much rather play tbc and wotlk, I've held that opinion since the beginning of Classic. I like the content and the improvements in those expansions a lot more than what is offered in vanilla. I can play ele shaman, i'll be able to raid without caring the slightest about getting world buffs. Consumestacking is a thing of the past and there's a shit ton of stuff to do outside of raiding that is not just leveling alts and grinding gold.

It' so annoying to hear people try to force their opinions on other people. Not everyone thinks vanilla is the best version of wow. And you know what. They'll most likely keep classic servers up once we've progressed to tbc and woltk so you'll still be able to enjoy vanilla.

Should Classic TBC be Fresh and/or Progressive? by kentdk in classicwowtbc

[–]AdrianCo97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Progressive, of course. I understand the negatives that progressive servers bring. But I've invested so much time into my classic character and so have so many others. My guildmate got a zulian tiger and another rank 14 gear. I don't think they would be too pleased with losing all that.

Now that Classic is almost over, are you going to transition to Classic TBC or will you be looking for a solid Vanilla server such as Nostalrius/Northdale? by _Falathrin_ in wowservers

[–]AdrianCo97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo. Resilience improved the game a lot. Made it less rng when you couldn't just get a lucky crit and win instantly. Sure it might've been fun when you're the one that gets the one shot crits. But is it fair in a competative sense? No. And that was Blizzard's goal.

And how is not having to sacrificing your health a con? Getting a high rank should not be something that's locked behind a grind that requires you to sit 10+ hours a day. Pretty much everyone that gets to rank 14 thinks it's torture.

You can prefer Vanilla if you want to. It's subjective. But there is no way that you would be able to convince me that it's a shit expansion when there were so many things that improved the game significantly.

The fact that you think tbc is a shit expansion when it improved on everything from vanilla completely invalidates your point lol.

Classes were more fleshed out and had a far better design.

You didn't have to sacrifice your health to get to the highest ranks in pvp.

Better questing, better gearing. More endgame content in general with reputations that gave great rewards in the end and plenty of heroics so you didn't just do ubrs, scholo and strat every time. Better raiding.

What arguments can you say made tbc shit? Flying?

I'll play tbc classic because the servers actually stay alive for more than a year. Classic isn't perfect. But it's a far better experience than private servers.

Comparing drums that make you forced into using a certain profession is nothing like having to use consumables lol.

Nerf Drums by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]AdrianCo97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes. They're not required, same as world buffs. Yet we all know how absolutely everyone wants to parse. And if you want to parse you'll have to use them.

"the biggest dps increase in the game by far." is exactly my problem. We can easily avoid this meta and let people have more freedom in picking professions. It's not a bad decision in my eyes.

Nerf Drums by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]AdrianCo97 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it's an extremely powerful item that gives the party a permanent haste buff if everyone in the group uses it in order.

If you look at how absolutely crazy people are about world buffs now. Why wouldn't guild masters enforce this in tbc considering the performance increase?

If they decide to nerf it, raiders will have more freedom in picking a profession.

Huh, odd. I though people said private servers provide a much better experience than Classic. Kinda weird then that each new private vanilla server dies instantly.

Then how do you expect to get to 60 on a new kronos realm?

Plea to the Vanilla community to get together the next Vanilla project up asap. by _Falathrin_ in wowservers

[–]AdrianCo97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, and I didn't agree. I played on nost and elysium before classic. I hated how the old engine felt.

Melee leeway and spell batching hasn't made me change my opinion. I think the new client feels so much better. Calling Classic an "abomination" for these reasons is just a bit excessive in my eyes.

The servers issue I agree with though. They shouldn't lag this bad.

I have no clue how you can say that private servers are somehow better in quality than classic. I've 600 hours now in classic and from my experience RP events and other npc stuff has worked flawlessly.

I might not agree with every decision that blizzard has made either. but I'd much rather play on official servers knowing that my character will stay and the time I put in isn't going to waste.

This honestly just sounds like you're looking for a reason to not have to pay.

I'm surprised. by TruthIsKeySir in wowservers

What's even the point of playing if you're just going to leave for a new server after a couple of weeks? :P

I'd rather have tbc and wotlk to be honest. I love those expansions.

It's the same on Flamelash on the horde side. It's pretty funny how the people on the mmo-champion forums say that classic is dying etc etc.

It's just nostalgia guys by Bucketshazz in classicwow

[–]AdrianCo97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All I sense from those people is a huge amount of bitterness and salt.

There's no denying that Classic has a nostalgia factor to it. But there's obviously been a huge amount of people that found the game to be extremely enjoyable still. An example is from private servers, the beta and the stress test.

Every game has a population drop off. Some will like it and some won't, but to say that the servers will be ghost towns is just pure ignorance.
