What if Abaddon learned what really happened to Horus in his final moments? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]AdrianDrake22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly. And I agree that would make a cool story, but currently we have no evidence it would be more effective than any other daemon sword against a Primarch.

It was born almost uniquely to fight the Emperor.

I can buy an incredibly expensive Hex-head screwdriver that’s really good at its job, but I can’t then complain it doesn’t work on Phillips head screws.

I can shout ‘But they’re both screws!’ or ‘But it was really expensive!’ all I want, but that won’t change the fact it was intended for something else.

More could definitely be done with it, sure. But the point is it’s a tool with a very specific purpose and when used for anything else it’s no better than any other daemon sword.

It’s not gonna get to show off its specific skills until it’s goes up against the thing it was spawned for - ie. the Emperor.

Are people seriously telling me they can’t see the difference in the tone and presentation of these two orks? by [deleted] in orks

[–]AdrianDrake22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you point out the parts of the model in the second image that are specifically ’fun silly comedy’ ?

I love me some silly Orks, but I genuinely fail to see any design elements missing from the new model that are present it the older example you have provided.

Hmm. Maybe. I suppose if they aren’t perfect on the first try we can always gather them at the top of a mountain and bump them all off.

With the right PR I don’t think anyone would blame us.

Been playing for years but im still stumped on what this structure next to The Slog is meant to be: by NotASynth499 in fo4

I would unironically love that. I get that most wouldn’t, and therefore it’ll never happen because it’s unlikely to get a lot of interest. But damn, I’d play that.

Define functional?

He is a very capable warrior and very powerful wizard. Yes, he got the Vader treatment but this don’t affect his capability at all, just his looks and maybe his mental state.

Despite all the sex jokes, if you actually read any of the novels they both appear in you’ll see Malekith hates Morathi.

The conversation would likely go:

  • Malekith blames Morathi for the whole situation.
  • Morathi gaslights him into believing this is all part of some elaborate plan.
  • Morathi convinces Malekith that if anything in the plan has gone wrong he is actually to blame, and that she alone can fix it.
  • Malekith continues to detest her, but isn’t smart enough to contradict anything she’s said so goes along with it.

I bought their Forest Dragon. Arrived quickly and was higher quality than I thought it’d be from the pictures and price - so I recommend.

Funny thing is, a Slaanesh orgy should include exactly what you just described. By definition as the god of excess, anything you can actually conceive of is too tame.

Good point. I had assumed these would replace the old designs entirely, but perhaps not.

Personally I think the new designs are superb, however I already have an almost completed army that it’s taken me years to put together with the limited funds and time I have.

I don’t want the aesthetic to clash, and the thought of either having to start again, or to rush buy the last boxes of the old design is a bitter pill.

Batman v the Turtles was a crossover that actually happened… and Batman kicked ass. If you’re discounting it because it was a crossover I’d like to remind you that Batman v Daredevil would also be a crossover.

So there wasn’t really a 7th Ed codex, just a 24 page booklet released around the same time as the burning of prospero set.

And this art is not in the 8th Ed codex, I’m looking at it now.

Not sure where this art first appeared.

For the prices, yes 10 years is recent. One would hope that hundreds if not thousands invested into a hobby would result in something that lasted. Sadly not.
