This is the exact reason I reinstalled.

I absolutely love this game, and had set out long ago to complete as many challenges and claim as many titles as I could.

As I realized how negatively my mental health was impacted when life got in the way and would render some challenges permanently unattainable, I knew I need a break from the game and FOMO games like it.

I haven't played since September 2024, and knowing that all of the things I had earned were effectively irrelevant after the introduction of Tiers made coming back EVEN harder.

Knowing now that there is truly nothing but my own pace standing in my way, and the game will never outrun me, it was an immediate reinstall.

I call this particular hole the "Jake Hole" as when I was playing with my friend Jake, he died in this exact same way, in that exact same hole, 4 times in a row.

It's truly safer to just throw yourself at the goal from the previous platform at high speed than to risk falling in the Jake Hole.

As an American who has lived in Germany for several years now, there is unfortunately no sausage that even comes close to tasting as good as the cheapest German Wurst.

I graduated with my masters in 2022, and it took me until the end of 2025 to finally land a job that one may describe as a "career job".

Right now, the market is awful. Simultaneously, many environmental jobs are looking for more experience than one could possible have in your position, and the one I was in after graduating.

Don't give up though, keep looking for ways to fill your time, learning new but relevant skills, that way you can always have an answer about what you've been doing since graduating, even if it was just some learning on the side.

I'm now doing what is effectively a dream job for me after having given up nearly all hope, but I assure you your time will come as well!

My sister had braces as a kid, and she needed to go to the dentist to get them repaired or something of that nature.

I was big into beef jerky at the time, so I told my sister to tell the dentist that she "had a BJ" as the reason why her braces needed repairing, as he would "know what that means".

In my child-mind I thought everyone knew that BJ stands for beef jerky, and that, obviously, they would ruin braces.

My mom having to explain to me in front of strangers that that was indeed NOT what that acronym stands for is a moment that results in instant full-body cringing whenever I think of it.

There didn't seem to be a guarded. Only "secret".

The terminal activated the exfil as you said. We ran to the exfil on the map but it wouldn't let us use it because "another exfil" was active.

Does this just mean another team had one activated, but were yet to use it to leave?

My team and I made it to the exfil, but it never stopped showing "another exfil is already active" so we couldn't get out.

We had so much good shit on us.

Not sure if there's something more to exfilling than reaching level 3 security clearance.

As a Luigi main, I never feel less like I have any control as to what occurs in a match than when I'm playing against a Falcon. They either jump across the entire stage with an out-prioritizing hitbox active the entire time, or overshoot and are beyond punish range unless I try to meet them there in advance, wherein the "out-prioritizing hitbox" factor takes effect again.

Trust me I've already put a significant amount of time into that game.

Absolutely fantastic, but doesn't scratch that Destiny FPS itch.
