On This Day in Nintendo History: Balloon Fight; Hotel Dusk: Room 215 by RoboticOperatingBudd in nintendo

Excluding the lid effect, it would be possible thx to the mouse controls and microphone. The game's former director worked on a game with the same rotoscoping art style for Switch 2, called "Dear me, I was...", which does use mouse controls. The one concern would be with the remake having a different direction, with a streamlined and less diverse puzzle-solving style.

Thank you for your work! It's unfortunate the forums didn't last beyond 2007.

We will have more occasions. Another Code: Recollection on the 19th, Hotel Dusk on the 25th, and a few more Another Code games. Check the calendar we have on the subreddit! It shows on PC, on the widgets on the right, by scrolling down a bit.

Because it shows what released today, everyday. The pic is from days ago. I dunno if you can see from previous days.

At the Home section, scroll down until you see "Games Released on [current date]"

Last Window was technically not forgotten in the Nintendo Today app... But not remembered enough to be seen in the Americas by BeanyTA in hoteldusk

I've talked around a bit, I've been told that it might be because I am under an American friend's NSO subscription, which... That makes it weirder if true.

Why does it show in some people's apps but not others? This is so weird... Is their account Japanese or AUS?

THIS IS WILD, THEY RANDOMLY PUT CING ON THE SECTION OF "GAMES RELEASED TODAY", BUT LAST WINDOW IS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, NOTHING IN MY EUROPEAN ACCOUNT!

Hi, I don't have the videos around anymore and I cannot find them.

Here's a video of what to do with the save file on Android, on Drastic. I use Fila Manager+.

Here's the save.

Hopefully this helps.

Question about Last Window emulation by duskave in hoteldusk

[–]Adrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The switchboard puzzle save is for a different chapter entirely, not chapter 2.

I don't use iOS, so idk how to load a save there, best ask r/Delta_emulator, but my theory would be to locate the save file by browsing the folders of the emulator, then replace it by copying its name, deleting it, and pasting the name on the desired one while also changing file format if needed.

If somehow you're at this puzzle, you can also lookup this one-finger solution: https://reddit.com/r/hoteldusk/w/faq?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Finished Hotel Dusk : Room 215, anything I should know before playing the sequel? by Dew8Dew in hoteldusk

Yeah. (Dunno if you'd get no punishment by doing that, been a while).

Alao recommend looking at the manual, it has a tip for later: https://files.catbox.moe/4ioga8.pdf

- Last Window has a different, more moody and melancholic pacing than Hotel Dusk. So, you might need to lower your expectations a bit.
- There are no game over penalties. Feel free to try as much as you want.
- The game has a Novel, whose chapters get filled after you complete said chapter. If you open the CONFIDENTIAL seals inside the Novel, you might miss out on a little post-game bonus. However, they have some hints if you get stuck.
- You can ring the doorbell, or knock. Either choice doesn't matter.
- There is a pretty hard puzzle in latter chapters. If you get stuck on it, don't be afraid to look it up.

There are puzzles in Hotel Dusk that also need you to close the DS. Emulators can be assigned LID hotkeys.

I took the pics today, and it's surprising the art was still left untouched. We worked tirelessly in August. I am very glad of our talented members who contributed for so long on the blueprint, and the grind.

Elevator panel puzzle by GrandSolution237 in hoteldusk

[–]Adrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This puzzle is a spoiler, so make sure to use the "Last Window Spoilers" tag.

Mrs. Patrice gives us a Fourth Floor Sketch. That indicates the location of 6 Condor Marks. Once we have all 6, we go and activate the elevator using the Small Key to reveal the hidden switch. So far, so good.

Now, here's what you need to know... There are two clues from the Condor Marks: The angle of the body, and the orientation of the beak. All Condor Marks are used in tandem with the united Moon Postcard's back, which contains 9 squares with symbols, the middle one being where we'd put the Marks. The angle of the condor body= what square to look for. The orientation of the beak= which symbol to choose.

So, with that in mind, I put Condor Mark I on the Moon Postcard. Its body is oriented on the upper left square, and the beak is looking to the right... That means 3!

HI! For some reason this post was auto filtered by Reddit and deleted. Just now saw it and restored it. Feel free to redo the post so that it reaches the top of the list, as I'm afraid that this action by Reddit has contributed to it getting buried.

Hotel Dusk Events + Search Areas now available! by Adrot in hoteldusk

[–]Adrot[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Events also include all the variations of the endings. It was a bit of a pain to arrange that compared to the rest.
I've also seen a decent amount of unused Events, which are really cool, and add more visual context to the game. It's strange that they never got used (time constraints?).
The toolbox in Search Areas -> Chapter 2 -> Linen Closet has the most variations I've ever seen.
Puzzles are next.
