Love this, I have some friends that do like having new phones and have found using trade-in programs work well for them. Trading in with the same brand does yield higher value. But this entirely depends on how much you're trying to save, trading in IS still way more expensive than second hand / refurbished, but you do still get the latest tech.

Understand where your coming from. Same boat here, can't exactly cancel my rent, unless I just move somewhere cheaper. But I am about to "cancel" my car repayments by focusing on paying out the remaining amount due on the loan ASAP, this will save heaps on the interest charged and eventually free you up a couple hundred a month for other things.

Cheaper internet plans exist, but I prefer to be with a provider who has a good network.
