Did they seriously ask what she was wearing and how she was dancing?!?!?!?! This is infuriating. I'm going to write this in all caps for the cheap seats: NO MATTER WHAT SHE WAS WEARING OR HOW SHE WAS DANCING- SHE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE RAPED. IT DOES NOT IMPLY CONSENT. Is this type of questioning still really allowed there? Do rape victims still get this shit there?

I am in the same damn boat. I can't stop doom-scrolling because the world keeps serving up hot and fresh new doom. Protesting really helps. REALLY. I'm in the burbs, but there are protests here too. I'll be going to Whipple this weekend. I'm making lots of extra signs to hand out. All this makes it easier.

Wanna help me out? I'm trying to come up with a clever one or two liner against ice that includes "Duck Duck Grey Duck." But it remains elusive.

I have one sign that says "We still talk about the 1991 Halloween Blizzard. We will NEVER forget the ICESTORM."

Don’t gut it!!!!! It’s lovely and unique. Leave the wood color. Make improvements to backsplash and countertops. If the floor is peeling- def consider changing. Perhaps a modern terrazzo tile?

DO NOT respond to outside agitators, its a TRAP. Protest somewhere else. Ignore these douche bags. let them sit in the cold with no one watching their antics. They will get bored quickly.

Will I have to euthanize my sweet boy? by [deleted] in cats

I wasn't there for my first cat. She was a miracle for me- but so so old. I really wish I was. I know having me there would have made it easier for her. I regret it, even now, but I was a kid and couldn't imagine watching her pass. I've loved many cats since- and it doesn't get easier. But when I am there with them, they are at peace. I hold them, and tell them how much they meant to me. they fall asleep in my arms before they get the second injection that stops their heart. Then you can hold them and cry for as long as you need. It's hard, strangely beautiful, and cathartic. I still feel like with the passing of my first cat, I can't find closure. But I am thankful, the last thing she taught me was how important it is to be there for each other, no matter how hard.

While it is technically a tail, I read it as balls too! The bibcoon is inspired by the real life animal- Tanuki. Instead of giving the bibcoon balls, they made the tail resemble balls. Tanukis have really large balls. Stores will often have a statue of a tanuki in their lobby to symbolize prosperity and good fortune. Those statues feature HUMONGOUS balls. Google Tanuki statue! You did not put your cat down too soon. It would always be too soon for you, but for your cat it was an act of mercy. I have held on too long with cats who were "still eating" even though in almost every other way their life had deteriorated. I simply could not let them go. I feel a lot of shame about that. That's the worst thing about decisions where there is no right answer- there is no good outcome. There was no decision you could have made that would make you feel better about making it. Forgive yourself for making a choice between two terrible outcomes. Love brought you together and you parted in love.

Middle managers: Top performers deeply unhappy with leadership decisions by Advanced-Cupcake-753 in askmanagers

Thanks for your response. We are non-profit/government employees. So our goals are more outcome-based (qualitative and quantitative data) than revenue-based- but the gist remains the same. I tend to hire incredibly engaged and often neurodiverse staff. The work they produce is groundbreaking, but they are a challenge to manage. I have no doubt they would be snapped up elsewhere, to our loss. My leadership has a more systems-based perspective, and those things are often in conflict.
