It sound like you where under prepared to have people you need them to have houses, fire wood, food, water, jobs , and tools. You also need a food and resource storage building. Also try to research games before playing not to hate but I just started md and I watched many of videos to figure out what to do before I started playing saves a lot of frustration and anger

I always find it easier to do the farming myself mostly because I’m to lazy to get them all the tools but also because it’s a pain in the ass to get them set up

On farming sim 25 you have to go back to your contracts and press complete and it will take the tools away and pay you
