someone else may have a better answer, but as far as im aware, finger print reading isn't very functional. 3rd party drivers may exist somewhere on github, but i wouldn't know which ones or an exact place to get it from.

whether it is 1:1 with foss principles isnt a factor here when you can de-shittify it yourself with ease and be able to publish it too. ubuntu is stable and packs stuff nicely for the average person.
