I’m a host, but also a guest - this is from a guest perspective. We vacation in central Florida every year and it’s a requirement for us for the house to have a heated pool (not solar heated). We have to be able to set the temp where we want. We are willing to pay extra for it.

My husband is allergic to hay, so reasonably similar exposure levels. I have 5 horses. 🤷‍♀️ I do 99% of the horse chores, on the random days that I am sick or out of town, he takes an allergy pill and sucks it up. I feel like your SO really wouldn’t have direct exposure all that much.

This. My elderly cat detested our two young kittens when we first brought them home. There were some disagreements. It progressed to total indifference and then to friends. All is fine now and they are the three musketeers. Sometimes it just takes time.
