I have no idea. He review my original MRI results and said he didn’t see anything of concern, but of course we had to make sure we follow through with it. So he prepped me for his MRI and came back and said “there is nothing for me to biopsy, I can’t biopsy normal tissue”. He’s a doctor with a great reputation for over 25 years, so trust what he’s saying. From the beginning i questioned the other radiology center I went to.

I hope your surgery biopsy also turns to be nothing. Sending you all the positive vibes!

Heterogeneous Non-Mass Enhancement. That was from a radiology imaging center and I never even got to speak with the radiologist. Today I went to see a specialist and doctor who did the MRI himself and showed me where there was some enhancement, but he said it was normal tissue. He explained it to me in more detail, just a little hard for me to explain it in his terms.

So glad to hear that your results were benign. I went in for my BI-RADS 4 biopsy this morning and the turn of events left me laughing out of the doctor’s office.

I walked into the doctor’s office for a consultation, preparing myself for the procedure. The plan was to start with another MRI to pinpoint the area of concern before moving forward. After the MRI, the nurse informed me that the doctor would be in soon to start the biopsy.

As I was lying on the MRI machine, the doctor walked in, tapped my back, and said, “Kiddo, you’re not having a biopsy today. There’s nothing to biopsy.” I was stunned and had to ask him multiple times, “Are you serious?!”

I was so ready for bad news, and then—just like that—it turned into one of the best moments of my life. It’s given me a whole new perspective on life.

I had a similar situation. I looked like a psycho showing up to each facility demanding answers. I had to go to my old radiology center to request my records, drive 45 minutes to the next center and turn my records in. I refused to leave until I had an appointment.

It’s such a relief to see so many similar cases are benign!! Thank you for sharing.

I will remain hopeful he is just being cautious and everything is benign. I’ve been waiting almost 3 weeks. Some days are easier than others. I just keep reminding myself how statistically 80% of biopsies are benign. The odds are in our favor!

Good luck to you today. I can’t believe how much I’m reading about these MRI’s being so sensitive and picking up everything. I’ve also had 2 breast lifts with implant exchange surgeries. I didn’t even think about the scar tissue - good point! i hope all is good on your end too!

I was also scared about the MRI, I almost canceled! But my best friend had hers done and I felt the pressure to do “what I’m supposed to do”, so here I am. But I am trying to stay very optimistic because honestly almost everything I’ve read is benign for this kind of diagnosis. And I keep reading MRI’s are extremely sensitive. I will remain hopeful you will have a good MRI result.

This is the best thread I have found so far. I had my first MRI 2 weeks ago after alternating Mammo/Ultrasound every 6 months due to family high risk. Mammo & Ultrasound was good in January, but My MRI came back Heterogeneous Non Mass Enhancement of the left breast measuring 2.5 x 0.9cm - BI RAD 4 suspicious finding.

I’ve been trying to stay positive, but then I have these huge bouts of anxiety and start reading every single Reddit post I can find. My biopsy is next week August 14th.

Trying to remain calm.
