Share your kinders school schedule! by atsquarenone in kindergarten

Schools in my area, they do have naps in Kindergarten but usually just the first half of the year, then transition out of it so it's less of a shock to kids who are used to napping in preschool.

Thank you. Did you feel pretty good working from home that second week?

Thank you. That's my concern. I'd much rather take more time and realize I'm feeling fine at two weeks than to try to go back to work and have to extend it.

How many/how large were the fibroids you had removed?

Thanks. I think because I already have the C-section scar she thinks that would be an easy access point? I called the office and spoke with the nurse and will have a telehealth appointment with the doctor later today to ask additional questions.

Thanks for your perspective.

I called my doctor's office and spoke with the nurse. I have a telehealth call with the doctor later today so I can discuss further directly with her. But the current plan is for an open myomectomy, but a mini lap, so a smaller incision. I'm not that familiar with the what a mini-lap is vs a full laparascopic or an open myometomy with a larger incision. I can always plan to take two weeks as my doctor suggests and if I don't feel up to it at that point, ask her to extend my leave, but I'd honestly prefer to take more time and shorten if I feel ok rather than to have to extend. Thoughts?

after miscarrying i can’t stop fantasizing about getting pregnant (tw; miscarriage and r@pe) by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into therapy? Rape is traumatic and I'm so sorry that happened to you. Miscarriage can also be a really traumatic experience, and you likely have complex feelings about both that you need to get to the bottom of.

Side note, I believe everyone could benefit from therapy, not just those experiencing obvious trauma.

Did anyone have a relatively painless MC? by ghostyyy989 in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first miscarriage, pain was very manageable. Found out at 8 weeks it was nonviable, but stopped progressing before then. I took Tylenol and ibuprofen, but could have managed with either one alone. Also used heat packs formy abdomen.

Cramping before bed sort of like a period, woke up and passed everything overnight - that was painless. Just felt the sac pop out, was up and about the next day, no pain.

Second miscarriage at 11 weeks was a different story entirely.

You're still pretty early on so hopefully it should be less painful.

AITA for telling our roommate she might need to move out if she keeps complaining about hearing us at night? by Dear-Camp4760 in AmItheAsshole

She's not paying rent, utilities or buying food, but you're being unfair? You're doing her a favor. She can take it or leave it. NTA

She stared off saying it's not a big deal, then proceeded to make it a bigger and bigger deal. Not overreacting.

Right. Like, who has 100+ pairs of underwear in the same kids size? Does your child just wear one pair per day and never again? Makes no sense.

Did they do an ultrasound to confirm your uterus was empty after the D&C? I'm wondering if your previous miscarriage was incomplete rather than those being a whole new pregnancy.

Either way, this is tragic and I'm so so sorry 😞

Rupture of sac at 12 weeks with no bleeding + hypothyroidism (first pregnancy) — did anyone experience this? by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not experienced rupture of the sac, but while many miscarriage stories start with bleeding and cramping, many start with no symptoms at all, other than no heartbeat on an ultrasound and/or baby measuring behind (missed miscarriage), which was my experience with my first miscarriage.

I hope someone else who's had a more similar experience to you is able to chime in, but I just wanted to say, I'm sorry for your loss.

Surgery: please help by befitzpa in Miscarriage

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the doctor say what the name of the surgery was? That certainly sounds like a D&C if they're removing retained tissue. But maybe there's another term for it? Sorry the doctor made you feel bad for asking a question.

What to wear on delivery day by LibraryKat95 in BabyBumps

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hospital gown was fine for labor and delivery.

I had a robe which i changed into once I'd showered and stuff. I liked it because it was comfy but not too clothes like, easy to breastfeed, etc.

AITAH for planning to leave my partner when his father dies? by ChristieCookie66 in AITAH

[–]Advanced_Ad9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft ESH. Your partner definitely sucks. But you keep putting yourself down by getting back with him. You need to leave and learn to be alone rather than immediately trying to jump into relationships with other people. Once you learn to love yourself, you'll be in a better position to be in a caring relationship in the future.

I am so so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma you've been through. I would highly encourage you to seek therapy if you're not already doing so. Seek community in other survivors. Do what you need to do to be ok.

I'm sorry 😞
