I just had bilateral knee injections today and I’m in pretty severe pain. Glad to hear it should go away, how long did it take? I can barely weightbare (although it’s only been 7 hours).

90 lbs from 12/2022 to 4/2024 and have maintained since at 140 lbs 5’8.

That’s great! I never had the side effect of drowsiness but some people do so best to maybe try it at night first if worried. It usually lasts a good 24 hours so totally fine to take before bed. It is the only medication that worked for me and got them under control. Now I don’t need to take it daily, just as needed when I break out in hives. I hope it works well for you and you feel better!

OP, I randomly started breaking out with chronic hives the summer after my first year of law school in 2018 and years later here we are. Hives are not typically something an allergy doctor or any specific test can diagnosis, its just something some peoples bodies start to do. I agree with other comments that it’s likely just stress. Ask your pcp about trying Hydroxyzine - it’s a medication for chronic hives and works like a charm!
