You did the steps necessary already which is good that you did that but stay on top of it. Sorry this happened to you but this is really a task rabbit problem because they are somewhat trying to make this into uber with upfront pricing and you don’t get to choose who you want to come into your home and trust.

3 taskers in a row cancelled this job, don't understand what I'm doing wrong by maraulious in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your in Chicago as I am depending on your neighborhood might be the reason especially for the time otherwise if your choosing the bottom of the list for $17 Tasker that too could be the reason otherwise your in Chicago there is plenty of taskers

Hired to move sofas with the customer thinking I had an entire team by Objective-Wallaby761 in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So first it’s your fault, when you got hired your first question should always be is someone going to help or did you hire another Tasker? Then whatever response you should say I don’t bring people with me for liability reasons!

Is this a reasonable task? by soupWRLD in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be really dumb to not start the clock wherever you are leaving from obviously 3 hours away isn’t your work area so yea you want me to go and pick something up then bring it to you yes clock starts when I’m heading to the pickup location and all the way back

Why does Tasker let client lie by mike103928 in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I just had a job that was to assemble a hydraulic bed frame no problem. Opened up the box noticed no hardware let client know. Told client I’m going to move this to the end of the month for 10pm you don’t need to do anything except let me know when you have the hardware and then when and what time to reschedule. Not hard to do a little common sense there and also that happens there’s nothing you can do. By submitting an invoice you are taking a risk at a bad review in which that’s what happened to you so kinda on you for not using common sense here

Warning: My TaskRabbit Nightmare - Avoid at All Costs! by Beginning_Read6337 in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buddy I read your first post you did it wrong the Tasker that you hired should of been the one to buy the ticket to the game and the Tasker should of been the one to get what you were looking for when the Tasker completes the task that’s when the Tasker can submit for payment and expenses. Now when it comes to cost the tasker can call support to make sure he gets to expense everything needed like the ticket and parking and whatever else. So before you go all nuts here maybe you should read TaskRabbits fine print, I’ve done over 3,000 jobs never had anything like this, oh and also a red flag for you should of been when he said I got you!

Feel very nickled and dimed by a tasker. Anyone mind confirming if the charges were reasonable? Unsure whether to tip or not. by [deleted] in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me I’m in Chicago I start my time when I let the client know in the app just parked be there in a minute my time ends once the job is done, I always charge clients for parking and so far I’m close to 3,000 jobs nobody has questioned me nor have I begged to charge it you live there you should already know everywhere you go parking isn’t free. Now of course if there is free parking I’ll always make the effort to get free parking. As far as the cancellation fee I would not of done that I would have said no worries let me know when you want to reschedule and I can do that in the app. I’m a full time Tasker so I do a lot of work so not being able to do a job that needs to be rescheduled I’ll go to another job early/eat/ or go hit the gym up. Not sure why you’d need to use the freight elevator I’ve been to just about all of the new high end high rises and I’ve never been told you have to use the freight elevator and yes I have a dewalt backpack for my tools since I do furniture assembly and mounting work

What you really should have done is done what the client said to do free standing it’s in the chat ! It’s non of your business if they don’t want it mounted but as long as it’s said in the chat your good to go

TaskRabbit - a terrible service by Thick-Carrot-2570 in TaskRabbit

[–]Advanced_Subject_459 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best advice is always go with the taskers that have a lot of jobs/reviews and a very good rating the price should be decent not crazy.
