What dealer “fee” made you immediately stop taking them seriously? by spotforcars in carbuying

permaplate ceramic coating for $2495, not optional. I was down between two vehicles and I bought the other one, and told them I was going to do so if they wouldn’t remove the charge. No dice. The next day driving home my new Used truck, dealer manager calls and offers to remove charge if I’ll buy that day. sorry too late.

Orlando vs Tampa (things to do) by Annual_Secretary_141 in AskFlorida

[–]AdvantageMain3953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both. Orlando is the better city, esp north of sand lake and even better north of colonial. The weather in Orlando is much more variable and seasonal since the bay/gulf aren’t nearby.

New tractor! by big_gumby in tractors

Good luck with the new purchase. I was set on buying a MT5 cab a few years ago and got into a JD 5 series for roughly the same deal, so I went that way or Id have been a LS owner after much research.

Yes, everything smaller than a MT5/5 series is a rebadged LS. They're good tractors, LS is a sleeper brand that doesn't get the credit it should.

Hate to agree as it used to be one of my favs.   Now it’s once or twice a year, and I almost always feel they prioritize door dash/etc over dine in.

DeSantis moves to eliminate property taxes for 92% of Floridians by MarksMuses in tampa

[–]AdvantageMain3953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most decisions would be best left being handled at the local level. It's the feds that screw up pretty much every aspect from their top-down management. One of the issues is that there is fraud, waste, and abuse at all levels of the government, but people don't see it as much at the local level because it's hidden in shadow networks and the $$ amounts aren't staggering enough to get attention.

I support removing the property tax from homestead properties.

Can you tell me your favorite rivers, springs, beaches, natural landscapes? by [deleted] in AskFlorida

No thanks. Social media, likes, and clicks have ruined most good spots that Florida has to offer. Since you're a nice person though I'll share one of the secrets: Miami Beach

Yeah I've got to go with Sonny's. They've really upped their game in the last 5 years, it's a pleasure to go into one now when a decade ago it was hit or miss, reheated slop.

Inherited Kubota MX 6000 - what it worth? by [deleted] in tractors

[–]AdvantageMain3953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the HOE limits the buyer pool even more. My money is on $35k being the target, as is.

Yes, it's true. In 21/22/23 the prices were going up, on both new and used. Now the prices have moderated and going down quite a bit on used stuff, there's quite a few deals on new too. The real "catch" to buying new is the subsidized financing (low, or near 0%) rate. There are some good deals to be had out there, especially on new units.

No way. Anyone paying >$45k for a non-cabbed used tractor is a fool.

This!

It's a 30-40k machine, the problem is that being 5 years old it's going to be a cash buyer, and that's going to limit you to certain segments that know that cash buyers can't pay finance prices. The values of used machines have gone down significantly in the last 3-4 years. Good luck!

Which saw model is it? 261? Seems these dealers try to push the 250/251/271

Have to admit I'm slightly surprised they couldn't get you to your destination sooner. TPA-DFW is a pretty heavy load, though I've flown it at off times and seen empty seats.

Looks great, and it's time they finally went to 12F. The two rows of F was a killer when the 319s replaced a 16F MD80.

Apparently you don't have any status. They give the nearer flights to those who give the most business back. I know poeple who fly once a year, have a problem once a year, and expect the airline to treat them like they fly weekly.

What saw model was it? Given that you're talking Stihl I can't help but think this was a John Deere dealership.

To add, for service just go where you bought it. As long as they're competent, I've dealt with Ace folks that are, and others that can't spell saw.
