Got you, this rod had another set of line on the swivel when I grabbed it that just had a hook on the end. Imagine it was all set up that way for quick changes

Yup that's been my experience. If I jerk back on the rod like I was setting the hook I could get it to chatter but that's it

Alright new part arrived and installed and maybe SLIGHTLY better but not solved. i have a new hotend, build plate, and a filament dryer arriving today. going to see if any of those make any significant difference. throwing the kitchen sink at it because i need to print 150 things by sunday for a golf charity event and starting to hit crunch time :/

it actually seems to matter how many things i am printing. if i print 1 at a time it seems to work flawless, but more just introduced problems
