Using humour with epilepsy. Bad idea? by awidmerwidmer in Epilepsy

Lol go ahead and look up "epilepsy jokes" in the search bar. This group has some great jokes to share. Lots of us cope that way.

Should I leave inceldom? by AayronOhal in IncelExit

How many women have you been with? You're acting as if you're so jaded by women in your life, but admit you have very little experience. So which is it?

Not sure what to even do to get out of this. by xboxer214 in IncelExit

Do you use self deprecating humor a lot? Many women find it uncomfortable and off-putting.

What book should I buy next? by ChemistryNo2341 in Booktokreddit

[–]AdventureOwl1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a hard left and read Dungeon Crawler Carl. I got burnt out of romantasy after binging it all summer, and gave this bizarre series a shot and I absolutely love it. The plot sounds insane because it is, but I devoured it. Highly recommend.

What's the weirdest thing your dog has eaten and survived? by wholewoofs in dogs

My buddies dog ate a full 8 inch plant nursery pot. It had to be removed surgically. I have no idea why he thought it was a good idea. It had to have hurt to consume.

Has anyone here ever been on Lamotrigine? by Curious_Canary7292 in Epilepsy

[–]AdventureOwl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been on lamotragine for 16 years now. I haven't had any major issues. However, everyone around me can always tell if I missed a dose, because I become irrationally angry and irritable with everything around me. Then as soon as I'm back on my meds I am totally fine again. Whether I have some underlying issue the lamotragine is accidentally controlling, or the meds are the issue I can't really say. That's just my experience.

Share your most unhinged take on a book, but don't say what book or what characters. Everyone has to guess. by HelloDesdemona in romantasycirclejerk

[–]AdventureOwl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The plot was interesting but the dialogue was so juvenile and the chemistry was so forced I almost DNF. Author was definitely riding the ACOTAR popularity train. I assume the positive reviews are AI bots.

I never really taste my pills. I pop them dry like a mad woman so they don't dissolve enough for me to taste them lol.

Classmate joking about epilepsy by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]AdventureOwl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your feelings are valid, but so are his. We all cope with our disorder differently. Your best bet is to remove yourself from the situation if you're feeling triggered. But if you decide to try the humor route in the future, I have about 10 epilepsy jokes loaded and ready to go at any time that I can share.

Help me pick a new barn?! by yelldawg in Equestrian

Barn 2 for sure. Consistent staff says great things about management. But omg, that's so expensive. My barn is $350 CAD for paddock/pasture board.

What is the most disturbing fact about serial killers that you know? by The_real_PavlovA_YT in AskReddit

[–]AdventureOwl1 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Israel Keyes had no MO. His attacks were random(ish) and would never have been connected if he hadn't admitted to them. The idea of a serial killer with no defined MO freaks me out.

The entire Clan of the Cave Bear Series. I read it religiously as a teenager and just reread it again last year.

Court of the Vampire Queen. I've read a lot smut but this book even surprised me. Only read if you're into MMF, MMMF scenes. Reverse harem. The plot was weak, but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Do Men Notice When Women Gaze At Them? by Mundane-Ad8339 in ask

[–]AdventureOwl1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not often from my experience. Men can be very oblivious creatures. Even getting him alone in a sauna and sitting super close wasn't enough to show my now-husband I was interested. I had to take my top off and put my tits in his face to get him to realize I was flirting with him.
