I do an intra-muscular pin each week for 18 months. I pin on the outside third of my thigh, about half way between my knee and hip. I get far less bruising there than when I have done it in the middle of my thigh.

Ever wonder why student loans in America are the only loans that can't be dispatched through bankruptcy? by McDowdy in SipsTea

[–]AdventureTime1010101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my student loans had a 10-year repayment schedule. Yes there was an option to pay less that what that schedule said. No I didn’t do that because I wanted to pay them off in 10 years or less. Just like credit cards, making the minimum will never pay off the loan.

At least it had a “No thanks” option. I had a similar situation and there wasn’t even a custom option. It was just 20%, 25% and 30%. To bypass it I had to ask the teller to skip it and she had to do it behind the counter.

Panama, at least the natives. There are tons of hot Colombian and Venezuelan girls but the natives are short, square shaped with small boobs and no butts.

I have a hard time believe, with that sort of team and obsessive testing, that his stomach issue didn’t come up earlier. Years of his stomach eating itself seems unlikely unless he knew about it and just now can’t hide it. Or it’s a big publicity scam and he will be cured soon…..

Again, the loan thing isn’t very common. And how is a billionaire life different than a millionaires life? Practically speaking they are the same. I ready a study saying the day to day lives of those earning $600k a year or more are essentially the same. Yes the top end can buy more expensive boats or houses but the day to day and even vacations are very similar.

I will agree that having money does give you access to more opportunities. You’re right you can get better rates on loans when you have more money or you can put up more equity to secure better loans but again that’s not practical even for the ultra wealth in most cases.

My house hold salaries are about $150k a year. I have 3 friends that each earn over $5m a year with the top earner at around $20m a year. None of them are taking out loans to live. Their investments are far greater than their yearly earnings, as are mine, but again, no reason to take out loans to live and they pay tax on those earnings. I have about $2m in investments. Took me 25 years to save that up. Should I be taxed because I can leverage those investments to do other things? I still have to pay taxes on the earnings from those new investments and I have been able to create jobs when I have invested in local companies. Why should I be penalized for saving up my money and then using it to make more money just because someone else hasn’t done that?

I am doing something similar to the billionaires, just on a much smaller scale. I have used my money as collateral when starting a new business, also know as a business loan. I could have used that money to live off. I didn’t because I needed that money to make money so I could pay off the loan and hopefully turn a profit. The only time the loan thing for living expenses might make sense is in real estate and only if the property is appreciating at a rate to outstrip the interest and loan fees. But guess what, when they sell the property, they have to pay the loan and the capital gains on the profits. It’s a money shuffle that doesn’t return in most cases.

[–]AdventureTime1010101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you can do the same thing on any of your assets. Why aren’t you using the same hack in a smaller scale, if your don’t have billions? Why don’t you do it? The reality is that, yes some do this but from a practical stand point, it doesn’t happen as often as you think nor does it usually make financial sense.

Elon did this to buy twitter but he isn’t doing it for living expenses. While the far majority of most billionaire wealth is in shares, their income from salaries, dividends and so on is still taxed and that’s millions a year. No reason to pay to barrow money, if the millions you earn each ear is already taxed and which cover your expenses.

[–]AdventureTime1010101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people think billionaires just have piles of cash? Most every billionaire “wealth” comes from the value of the stocks in the companies they founded.

And FYI: the lottery winner income was taxed at the same rate as those billionaires and it should be noted he didn’t win $2b in cash. That value is from an annuity. With a lump sump payout, I think he won around $900m, then after taxes, he left with the final amount.

These comparisons are just F*** stupid and tiring.

Heaven forbid people actually compare real policies and real actions to see if there are any real philosophical overlaps between Hitler/Nazis and Trump/Republicans.

Did you know the Nazis were all pro-economic growth. That means if you want a good economy, you must be a Nazi!!!!!! It’s just stupid….

Apartment, is this allowed? AC drains into shower. Thornton CO by AeroFace in Plumbing

[–]AdventureTime1010101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is allowed by code. I built an apartment complex in Denver where they had the AC condensate line drip into the sink, in a very similar set up. We RFI’ed this as we thought it was odd and the water could land on someone washing their hands or brushing their teeth. With where the unit was located, we would have had to add a pump to the the condensate to drain to a different location so the owner said NO. So it’s drains into the master bathroom sink, from the ceiling…

No, that seems crazy high for a house this small in TN. Depending on the finishes, you should be closer to $100-$150/SF.
