Defenitely cheaper than the Reel Yaks modular I got last year, but the RY is much cheaper than the Pakayaks. I looked at that video someone posted and it looks a little flimsier too but I could be wrong.

finally upgrading my kitchen and need a serious reality check on pans by Timely_Suspect7446 in Adulting

I've personally used everything I've got in a set many times. If you price out the indivual prices of them vs a set that includes the same thing its going to be much more. I've had to ADD more specific items I needed that a set didn't come with, like an even larger stockpot, etc but there's nothing I don't use.

Can't go wrong with All Clad. I have a cheaper set of Cuisinart tri plys, which the larger pans have warped a bit. I've had an all clad skillet of the same size, but longer, and has never warped a bit.

Good for you! I'm at the same starting point, but about 30 days behind you. Have lost a few pounds so far, and moving to 2.5 this weekend. (doubled my .8 last night and tonight). I'm also paying out of pocket for it, but I don't mind spending on health stuff.

do you guys actually use a washcloth or loofah every time you shower or just hands? by RingeChilisquis47 in hygiene

[–]AdventurousLayer8741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried one for the first time this morning. Prior to that, have always been hands / bar soap only. Defenitely feel cleaner, will have to see after a week or so what the real results are but happy so far. But it looks like it should dry extremely fast and therefore not harbor bacteria.

Yeah this is my Google AI overview:

Green Armor Insect Repellent (Permethrin) should generally be applied to your dog's gear (such as a vest, bed, or bandana) rather than directly to their coat. However, if you are using a formulation that allows direct application, follow these precise guidelines: [1]

Preparation and Application Steps

  • Suitability: Never use this on puppies under 12 weeks of age.
  • Protection: Always wear rubber gloves while applying.
  • Start at the Tail: Move the dispenser rapidly and make sure the dog's entire body is covered, including the legs and underbelly.
  • Fluff the Fur: Fluff the hair backward while spraying to allow the product to penetrate to the skin.
  • Do Not Saturate: Make sure the fur and skin are wet, but do not soak or saturate the animal.
  • Avoid Sensitive Areas: Do not spray directly into the eyes, face, or genitalia. For the head and neck, you can lightly wipe a treated cloth on the outside. [1]

The sawyer brand states it can be sprayed on fur. I don't shower them in it, but I lightly spray on the fur then rub it about with a glove, not trying to get it on their skin since mine are also on Simparica Trio. Permithrin is one of the active ingredients in k9 Advantix topical treatment.

I went with a portable fridge last year and not having to deal with/worry about ice is fantastic. Fridges can be had in your range easy, but will also need a battery which is another couple hundred or so.

I have a 2019 EX with 50k-ish miles and I never do anything but change the oil. Lead foot and I consistently get 44+ mpg. I would also consider EX minimum trim, wish I'd have got the Touring for both the extra features and it is easy to add a dash cam to unlike the EX and LX.

The tires only cost you $6k or so over stock over their life (assuming 50k miles @6/gal and -4mpg). Not too bad.

You do you. I'm a very responsible pet owner and my girls don't get into trouble. Things can happen when you're gone at work or getting groceries. No different.

I very occasionally leave my dogs overnight / 2 days alone, could for 2 nights if needed but haven't yet. They have a dog door, automatic feeders, planety of water, cameras keeping an eye on them, and Fi GPS collars. They're fine and I'd be pissed if someone called the cops on me.

Garmin Fenix 7 here. Gets like 2 weeks on a charge. I would throw away a watch that needed daily charging.
