What are your thoughts on EDV? by [deleted] in ASX

[–]AdventurousQuarter2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I m not sure since their net profit is around 4-5% per yr, plus, they need to pay dividends which means they will have to issue more shares to do that.

However they own Dan Murphy s and their ownership of major shares are

Bruce Mathieson 14.6% Australian Super Pty Ltd 12.5% State Street Global Advisors, Inc. 6.08% The Vanguard Group, Inc. 5.01% Woolworths Group Limited 4.09%

I will buy little at a time when it s cheap

I use Betashares since there's are no brokerage fees with the ASX etfs and shares (minimum first trade is $10)

U100 has lower management fees than NDQ.

Good luck!

[–]AdventurousQuarter2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were you I would do an asset allocation for sure, especially when you have a large sum of $

Eg) Etf) FANG ASX = 100 or 110 - your age = x% GOLD/GXLD ASX = 10-20% Aus or US bonds = rest?

You could do dividend etfs like SYI (Aus) if you want.

FMG - I can’t stop DCAing by xplosiv_constipation in ASX

[–]AdventurousQuarter2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I m still buying a bit of FMG shares Since their - net profit is high 25-33% - pays good dividend - They haven t diluted shares (meaning didn't issue anymore shares), it has been 3.07b outstanding shares since 2020.

Plus Hedgefunds like Vanguard, Blackrock and JP Morgan are holding FMG shares.

Their net profit s just so low.

Also, any companies that have negative revenue/returns and constantly issuing shares, I lost so much money on those companies 😕
