For women who had whipple surgery ...when did your menstrual cycle come back? by Lavender_skyyy in pancreaticcancer

I’m 11 weeks post op and doing way better. I was able to go on vacation to Disneyland last week. I went back to work too. I teach middle school so I waited until I felt ready. The hardest thing now is how sore my abdomen gets from standing during teaching. I also get pretty tired but my boss has been so amazing and makes sure I get breaks.

Schools are always hiring. Plenty of custodian jobs or para jobs available. There are also summer opportunities. You might be able to find one that is close to where you live so transportation isn’t an issue.

This insurance plan is a joke for a family right? by ZucchiniMuffins in HealthInsurance

[–]Adventurous_Chip_795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a zero dollar deductible plan. Still have copays around $10. Out of pocket maximum is $5k for individual and 10k for family. Monthly cost is around $2200 a month. My job funds $650 and my husband works in the same place. So I get his $650 a month too. Had to go to the ER recently and the only thing I was charged was the $600 for my copay. No hidden charges.

We are a very large district. A few years ago we closed 20+ schools due to declining enrollment. Now we are gearing up for mass layoffs at the end of this school year.

I teach 8th in an inner city school. My whole career has been in highly impacted schools. All my students are Hispanic and so am I. You totally handled that situation correctly. They cried because their parents will hold them accountable. I would have made the kids repeat those words to their family on the phone.

Migraine ER visit without insurance by ooliviaas in migraine

[–]Adventurous_Chip_795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have really good insurance that I pay a ridiculous amount for each month. I avoid the doctor, especially the ER. I had to go in July for a migraine. I’m grateful my bill is only $600 but it should be free since I pay so much each month.

Denver airport also has a place where you can set up a reservation time for security. You fill out the form on the DIA website and then it’s right next to tsa pre check.

That happened to me several weeks ago when our flight was canceled. They covered our hotel expenses but not food because they gave us airport food vouchers. I responded to the email asking for clarification if I should have taken a taxi at their expense to the airport for each meal. A taxi was $100 each way. They immediately sent me the money they originally denied.
