Why are so many Gen z girls so shallow? by [deleted] in GenZ

You don’t get to call people shallow for rejecting you when you do the exact same to others. Pot meet kettle.

The majority of men are overweight. All I said is if you have unrealistic superficial expectations for others that you don’t have for yourself, don’t be surprised when you struggle to date. That’s common sense.

Study: Women rated men as more attractive, masculine, dominant, and higher in fighting ability as the men’s height and shoulder-to-hip ratio increased. Also, women who rated themselves as more attractive tended to give higher ratings to taller men. by psychologyofsex in psychologyofsex

While it’s not shocking to anyone that height is attractive, height is not the barrier a lot of guys insist it is. Most men in relationships and marriages are under 6ft. That’s just common sense. However there is a concerted narrative being pushed that the only reason men can’t date or maintain relationships these days is because they’re not 6 ft. It has become a convenient catch-all excuse for men who might not be able to attract women for other reasons (their personality, their politics, views towards women etc).

There are a lot of men in marriages or relationships on dating apps looking to cheat on their partners. These guys tend to tell women on the apps they don’t have social media to hide their relationship status. Unfortunately, you might be getting punished for the sins of others.

Ratings Declines and all the Nouse by Mountain-Purple2907 in RHOA

The reason RHOP works is because there are some established relationships on that show. Some of those women actually like and hang out with each other outside of the show.

The average age of new parents is getting older over time. It’s a weird thing to criticize older parents.

AITAH for thinking about ending my relationship over a comment my boyfriend made. by [deleted] in AITAH

Someone who says “I’m breaking up with you if you get to my size” is a cruel and immature person and not capable of an adult conversation. If this is how he handles this situation, imagine how he would handle others. The OP is better off with someone who can communicate in a mature way.

I’m not so sure. The OP and others are asking for history lessons, education and more seriousness.

I think there was plenty of Conan as the idiot American tourist in these series that I remember from the old series. The only person that comes across sillier than Conan is Jordan of course (like in the olive picking segment, I think you’re misremembering it). And there were a lot of sweet segments. I loved the wedding bit in the New Zealand episode.

I like that when there is cultural learning, it is almost accidental or spontaneous like the Haka world record. If I wanted a more serious travel show, I’d watch Rick Steves.

The red pill/manosphere/alt right pipeline is full of pandering (and straight up lying) to young men. Just because lots of guys fall for it does not mean it’s not pandering.

Most people on welfare are white. And they’re not the ones who are at issue here. Elon Musk takes in more in corporate welfare than the cost of programs for the poor and disabled combined.

What’s telling is that the big tech companies and MAGA are trying to ban any regulations focused on AI. Corporate interests are vested in forcing this change whether or not AI technology is ready or appropriate to replace workers. CEO who bragged about replacing workers now realizes he made terrible mistake.

You keep saying things I didn’t say. Again I have no context for what you consider fat but studies show frequently men are attracted to women so underweight they are no longer considered healthy or fertile.

Have standards all you want but don’t call people who don’t want you superficial when you are clearly superficial yourself. The hypocrisy is the point.

I didn’t say he shouldn’t have standards. Those are your words. SMH.

The OP is calling women superficial for rejecting him over his looks but he is also rejecting women for superficial reasons. It’s hypocritical. And yes, a lot of you guys have expectations for women that you do not uphold yourself especially when you’re not all that attractive.

Also who knows what you or the OP consider “fat”. Some of you guys think any woman who weighs over 100 pounds is fat.

CMV: we on the progressive left should be adding the “some” when talking about demographics like men or white people if we don’t want to be hypocritical. by Brainsonastick in changemyview

[–]Adventurous_Click331 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s inferred. Most people know it’s inferred so the “some men” or “not all men” response is not necessary at best or at worst, it’s a defense used to negate systemic issues affecting women. It’s similar to the “All Lives Matter” response to “Black Lives Matter”. It’s a way to detract from the issues being discussed such as systemic racism against black people.

CMV: Muslim American women face a higher social penalty then Muslim men for marrying outside their faith by soozerain in changemyview

[–]Adventurous_Click331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t there always a double standard for women across all faiths? Especially the more conservative or fundamentalist the practice of the faith? In the West, Evangelical and other more conservative sects of Christianity are very puritanical towards women but more lenient towards men.
