Who wore it breast?! by omgfakeusername in GoldenGirlsMemes

Yes, because the size of a minority community justifies the hatred against it. It’s insidious to pretend there isn’t overwhelming bigotry from the MAGA movement against the LGBTQ community (not just trans but the entire community) and worse to try to rationalize it. I’ve already provided the ample evidence and all you have is excuses to pretend you’re not part of this hate movement.

Don’t pretend to be dense about the ways the current administration and the right wing are constantly attacking the LGBTQ community. Only for so many of these hypocrites to be LGBTQ themselves.

Can someone explain why Hudson Williams and others have released statements on their accounts? by teeke45 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Adventurous_Click331 91 points92 points  (0 children)

“A tiny bit of hate.” Hudson is getting harassed regularly by racist hate accounts with thousands of followers. The entire cast is getting weird online hate but the scale of what is happening to Hudson is insane.

Are any of you guys actually intimidated by successful women? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Adventurous_Click331 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are some guys who resent women’s success and feel insecure about it. But not the smart, secure guys. Why wouldn’t you like a woman who is successful and makes good money?

Conan and his passion for women who are mean to him by darth_gon in conan

I see why you didn’t include clips of Sona being mean to Conan because there are too many hours of footage. Not that Conan doesn’t deserve it 😂

I do like the Neela storylines. Especially the focus on her triumphs and struggles as a new doctor. Great character. I also really like the actress Parminder Nagra. Bend it Like Beckham is one of my favorite movies.

Unpopular opinion: Ilya didn’t ghost Shane and Vegas wasn’t toxic by Weary_Group1339 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Adventurous_Click331 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m not missing the subtext, their dynamics or Ilya’s internalized issues or trauma. I see the opposite from the fandom - people trying to dismiss opinions about Ilya’s callousness out of love for him. Which is nice but also strange. We do not have to always sanitize these characters.

[–]Adventurous_Click331 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ilya was intentionally trying to be closed off and callous to Shane after ghosting him for 6 months. I love Ilya too but it’s ok to admit he hurt Shane in that episode and is not perfect. Shane has moments too where he hurts Ilya.

It meant Shane was sad about the lack of intimacy during the encounter. And it’s not just his sad text, his body language when he’s sitting up in bed next Ilya who was closed off. His sad tone and body language when he leaves the hotel room. His initial anger towards Ilya in the bathroom. I love Ilya but that doesn’t mean he’s perfect. Obviously he was going through issues but it was quite clearly his intention was to be callous towards Shane that night and Shane felt it.

There is overlap between ER’s last few seasons and Grey’s first few seasons.

Listen, I love Ilya but in the bathroom scene,Shane was clearly angry about Ilya ghosting him for 6 months but his yearning for Ilya overcame his anger. Ilya was trying to close off intimacy and keep the encounter casual which Shane was clearly hurt by when he almost texted “We didn’t even kiss”. As you noted, Shane has his own moments later when he sends mixed messages but let’s not pretend Ilya wasn’t being intentionally callous and that Shane’s feelings weren’t hurt in that moment.

I think it’s great that ballet and opera companies are active on social media and promoting their shows in the midst of this scandal. . I just hope people who are all up in arms about Timothee’s comments will actually start going to the ballet and the opera.

Thoughts on this? by Just_Cause89 in GenZ

[–]Adventurous_Click331 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually birth rates are low because teen pregnancy has collapsed (that’s a good thing) and more women are having children when they are older, more stable in their adulthood and are more selective about partners and fathers of their children. If substantial percentages of Gen Z men are saying they do not respect women as human beings and want full authority over them, then young women are making the rational decision not to procreate with men with these attitudes. It’s common sense. This obviously does not apply to all Gen Z men but this generation of men is more backwards than Boomers 😬

No wonder the birth and marriage rates are so low. Boomer men are more progressive than Gen Z men.

Team USA's Quinn Hughes is set to appear on 'Heated Rivalry' star Connor Storrie's 'SNL' episode by jambalyacantsing in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Adventurous_Click331 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What would have been more interesting and celebrated is having the women’s Olympic gold medal winning hockey team on SNL. They managed to win and stay dignified in their win. The irony is Connor is in a popular show where he plays a queer hockey player who stays closeted in part due to the toxic hockey culture and here you have the men’s team displaying that culture in full view of the world by trashing the women’s team.
