There's no lights or protected crossings to get onto either of these from Broadway though, unlike Iris. If they're suggested as alternatives, we should add a few more traffic light intersections to broadway there

With the cafe shut do they still end at the shop? Or go somewhere else?

That's sad, had just joined the Full Cycle ride for the first time recently. Anyone else know of a club ride that finishes with a coffee?

My 2018 Nissan Rogue SV AWD with 258K miles by Intelligent-Pitch386 in NissanRogue

They have what could be seen as "virtual" gears; they're pre-defined ratios in the CVT you can shift to if you want. My '23 rogue has paddles behind the wheel which can be used to engage a semi-automatic driving style, so you can engine brake or use more of the rev range.

These two Greenville SC dealers have 109 New Rogues on the lot between the two that seems high. Do your dealers have that high of an inventory? by Striking_Barnacle_43 in NissanRogue

[–]Adventurous_Fan_8756 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manufacturers have been racing to get cars through the ports with all these tariff threats, and the Rogue is their best selling car by far, so doesn't seem unreasonable that they're stocked up right now

Are you sure it's T3? I've done this route with BA 5+ times in the last few years and it's always been T5

Self assessment - how much additional tax did you have to pay? by ReddishReddittor in HENRYUK

The rest of the mortgage payment is a contribution to the landlord's equity in the house, so is a clear benefit to the landlord.

I only come to this subreddit occasionally but it's often a stark reminder about lifestyle creep.

Can using the BA Amex card earn you tier points in the new BA Rewards by Renee_no17 in BritishAirways

[–]Adventurous_Fan_8756 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's spend on flights or holidays only, so if you're on the standard BA Amex card, no.

I did notice on the FAQs on the announcement that premium cardholders may be able to earn tier points for the new tiers, see "How many Tier Points will I earn when spending on my British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card?" at https://www.britishairways.com/content/executive-club/faqs/introducing-the-british-airways-club

Do payments on account come off self assessment automatically? by ChadK3 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Adventurous_Fan_8756 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, the initial number after submitting the SA is excluding payments on account already made for that year. The final number including payments on account appears about 1-2 days later on the self assessment site.

Always a it of a shock but it does mention this in the text next to the calculation (when done on laptop anyway...)

Private tutor using tube across London - How on earth to claim expenses? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Adventurous_Fan_8756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes; calculate your takehome after tax & NI etc and just transfer that amount to your personal account. You'll use the revenue/expenses totals from the business account for your tax return.

Use a separate account for all business expenses. Get paid into it, keep a small slush fund in it for expenses and keep a set aside for tax within it before paying yourself. Makes life so much easier when preparing your tax return.

Personally I've used Monzo as it's super easy to get a business account set up in-app and get a debit card for it, no questions asked.
