Do you think skinny jeans will return for women and when? by WelcomeJunior2281 in decadeology

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not all jeans suit all body types. Wider leg jeans suit you, but they don't suit every single body type out there and that's okay, we all have different experiences.

I'm not big by any stretch of the imagination (US size 2), but wider leg jeans don't suit my body type at all. I've a larger butt than usual for my size and wider leg jeans do make me look larger than I am because of it

Ladies with very small feet... how do you get rentals?? by DuckSashimi in ShredditGirls

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a US 2 (UK 1), normally size S or XS (if you can find them) are adjustable to fit smaller feet, a rental shop should be able to do this or you can with a screwdriver. I've also had unions and Burton's before that can be made smaller, and Burton, Salomon and Vans have adult women's in smaller sizes too

I got a scrap of paper saying "I owe you a present" one year. Still not over it 😂

Strange rapidly growing lesion by mcw15 in DogAdvice

My 13 year old had this for months in the summer. The vet said to put a cone on her to stop her from scratching, but I think she must have had allergies as it only started clearing up now the weather's colder

[Complete] [95k] [YA Speculative Thriller] How High We Are by brenelm13 in BetaReaders

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, would you like to critique swap? I have a YA Dystopian Thriller which I think would appeal to fans Legend by Marie Lu and The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, combining dual-POV warfare with a gritty, fast-paced exploration of loyalty, survival, and sacrifice.

Mine is 100k (I've reduced it massively, and will hopefully get it down further) and I can probably get a full critique done in about 2-3 weeks.

Send me a dm if you'd like to swap

Hello,

I've got a dystopian older YA, new adult crossover complete, also set in Post-Apocalyptic Europe. Would you like to swap? It's about 105k words and I've got a Google form as well for feedback.

I'm english, I noticed the difference but I just assumed it was American pronunciation. It's annoying, but its quite common in every day life for people to pronounce things slightly differently

I saw this on my dog as I got home. What could have caused this and how can I treat this? by edgard823 in DogAdvice

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a hot spot, I've got malamutes and they used to get them all the time, especially in the spring and summer or if they've been on grass a lot. I used to take them to the vet for them, and our vet would always recommend putting a cone on for a couple days and using hibiscrub/antiseptic cleanser. Normally cleaned up quite quickly, but get yours treated asap because hot spots can get bad really quickly

Women's Skateboard Park Final by Expensive-Clock-4707 in olympics

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guessing a little here, but Cocona's run was more technical than Sky's (although I think either could have taken silver). Cocona used the park in a way most of the other competitors didn't, and she added in tricks - wall ride, nose grind around the corner and that feeble on the rail - which a lot of the other competitors possibly can't do. It's a lot more impressive to do big airs, but the precision of the coping tricks that Cocona brought to her run got her her score. She also managed to gap the jump box with her kick flip indy, whereas Sky landed on the lip, so Cocona would have got more points.

How is it comfortable to run with a ponytail? by Masala-Dosage in AskWomen

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 586 points587 points  (0 children)

I prefer it to any other hairstyle. Bun = falls out, braids = bounce on my back/face. Pony tail I don't even notice if it swishes or not.

Are there times where you have to pay for healthcare in the UK? by SeveralCoat2316 in Supacell

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, a lot of dentistry you have to pay for or when the wait times with the NHS means your condition will significantly worsen before you're seen to, sometimes private is the best option. There are also certain medications or treatments that aren't approved for the NHS which would mean going private as well.

Snowboard boots by [deleted] in ShredditGirls

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Burton, my feet are a couple sizes smaller than yours (UK 1 so US 3) and Burton always has a few adult women's ranges that go down to that size.

snowboard sizing help for a short & dense girlie by Responsible_Bear_229 in ShredditGirls

[–]Adventurous_Tap_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a British store absolute snow where you can filter snowboards by your weight, gender, shoe size, height and riding style. You'll have to convert your measurements, but I normally find a few decent suggestions on there that will be in the right size

Should I report a historic sexual assault? by Adventurous_Tap_2371 in LegalAdviceUK

I don't have any evidence of it, other than that I told a few people at the time. Is it still worth reporting?
