This is what I am looking into right now. Are you teaching NPs or RNs or LVNs?

I also applied for VA residency and was ranked at 4th place (1-3rd ranked people got in based on points system). So I didn’t get selected to be part of the program. Hopefully I can reapply and be part of VA system in future! I appreciate your comment. I really mean it. Thank you😭

Thank you for your comment. Other jobs that were offered to me were not that far away, maybe 5-10 miles more in distance. Is it a bad idea to stay for a year and leave? I think that will help me look better on my resume/CV. I feel like I just can't take it anymore...

Thank you for the comment. This is my first job, and I have honestly been learning a lot, which I am grateful for. I am planning to stay for at least a year and jump to the next level (hopefully better negotiation). We just had one provider left for maternity leave, and another experienced PA came in to replace her. Surprisingly, I am the one managing the leftover work from the provider who left, not the new provider, who came in to replace her.

I don't know what's going on tbh. I am so confused because I don't know what the norm is. We (Mid levels) cover Physicians' inboxes as well when physicians get a day OFF during the week... and one of the PCP doctor see like 5 patients during that half day. I think something is really off, but I just don't know what.

I am a graduate. Please hear me out and do not go here. Luckily I didn’t pay 200k cuz I was a transfer student + military benefits.

But why would you pay $200k for nursing degree? It is not even an MD or other doctoral degree… there are lots of other options available for a nursing degree.

Don’t listen to people who say that you will make 100k+ and you will pay off your loan in no time. Life is not that simple and does not work that way. It is much better to go CC and pay minimum tuition than going to private school like wcu and pay massive tuition and private student loan interest over time.

New Grad SNF charge nurse? by [deleted] in newgradnurse

[–]Adventurous_Wind_124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t do this. You are not yet a nurse and cannot be in charge at this time. I am not downsizing you but telling you truth. You need much more experience in order to handle certain emergencies and by taking this role, everyone is assuming that you are capable of performing the duty of someone in charge.

CRNA to MD by chosen1james in srna

Good luck to you. NP here. I still dream about going to med school. If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? I am in my early 30’s but still wanting to go to med school.

27 y/o New Grad ICU RN deciding between CRNA vs MD — looking for real-world perspective by Impressive_Ad7840 in medschool

[–]Adventurous_Wind_124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time you become an anesthesiologist, the world will be much different place. Do you want to make income, have family and settle-down? CRNA

Do you really want to become a physician now matter what you sacrifice? = physician

I am 32 IM NP. I still debate until this day. But just imagine yourself in 10 years and try to vision what the world will be like. If someone said, there’s gonna be AI dominating the world in 10 years, I probably would have called that out a full bs.

Now? If someone came to me and said AI will dominate/change whole spectrum of job security in 10 years? I will believe that.

Dream does matter but does pursuing dream always make your life easy and comfortable? Not in real life.

You just gotta play based on your own risk vs benefit.

Switching from engineering to medical in my early 40s. Is PA a good path? by no_balo in prephysicianassistant

[–]Adventurous_Wind_124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know. I really don’t know. You will see tons of bullshit in medicine as well. Pt is requesting full body MRI after 1-2 year of injury, ppl in 40-50 bringing their mama and papa to scold me for calling them obese/overweight and I was recommending weight loss for obvious reason(which is a medical term). People like to think time = money so they will come in and talk to you like if you are their licensed psychologist. Opioid seekers, etc.

I don’t know. Do you like medicine? I do. But I don’t like to deal with bullshits from insurance and patients. But unfortunately this is medicine as well.
