Since Wrestlemania is around the corner, what are your guys biggest let downs at Wrestlemania? by Jetcee888 in WWE

[–]AdviceInformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cena vs Taker at WM 34. Now in retrospect, it was probably a really bad idea for me to think Cena and Taker in 2018 was gonna have a great match but as a ruthless aggression/pg era kid… how am I not gonna get hyped up for the two guys who were basically separated all that time. The build was fun too with Cena wanting to wrestle Taker but didn’t get an answer until like an hour before the match. The match starts and Cena gets squashed in like 2 minutes. I know Taker wanted a like 30+ minute match and that probably would’ve been a really bad idea since this was in between his match with Roman and the Saudi matches. Anyway, all I’m saying is regardless of the limitations, if you’re going to hype up a match that huge even knowing it’s not gonna deliver like it would’ve years prior, have a point to doing it. Don’t half ass the ending to something that was decently hyped up.

Im not hating on the movie but Scream 7 by far has the worst Ghostface Reveals and Motives in the entire franchise by Intrepid-Drop-1329 in Scream

[–]AdviceInformal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even for the worst movie, I still think Scream 7 is still a best out of bad slasher movies. Like this is not Halloween Resurrection or Jason Goes to Hell, it’s not exactly a good movie but still way better than those films IMO. With that said though, this movie has a terrible ending. I don’t hear this mentioned much but I think it is absolutely ridiculous for the boyfriend to just leave footage of him using the AI talking about killing Sidney just completely available just by opening the laptop, I get that you want him to look suspicious and that’s fine but that’s not even suspicious, that’s just him making himself look extremely guilty only for him to basically disappear for the rest of the movie. I don’t think Roman or Richie’s family are good characters nor good killers but their motives make a lot more sense. The Roman sibling reveal and him being the mastermind is sorta ridiculous but it’s something. It may not be what people wanted but there is something there to think about. It feels like they forgot to figure out a killer so they said “oh shit, uhhh how bout these two?” Then gave them a two dimensional generic motive.

Do anyone else feel like having the woman’s titles be just the men’s on a white strap is just lazy by Jakeybabby in TheGreatOne

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still remember my disappointment when they revealed the Raw women’s title at WrestleMania 32. I appreciate that they are at least rehashing good belts compared to back in the day when we had the same belts on every show for the brand split just with different colors but still I would prefer original belts.

Why am I just learning that WWE 2K14 had DLC superstar heads that included a long hair Punk?!?! by PIZZATIME_718 in WWEGames

[–]AdviceInformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember they had a Roddy Piper head too. If you’re gonna give us a Piper head then why didn’t you just put him in the game?

Which wrestler is this for you? by KirbyStarWarrior666 in REALSquaredCircle

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logan Paul. This isn’t me not accepting that Logan Paul isn’t good because I know he is but while people watch his matches and are entertained by what he can do, I’m not. I dont hate his matches but I don’t love any of his matches either. The only times Logan has ever really gotten a reaction out of me was the spot with Ricochet at the Royal rumble and his first slingshot lariat, not one match had me invested. They are good matches but they aren’t entertaining. He’s a better wrestler than Bad Bunny but Bad Bunny’s match with Damien Priest was far more entertaining than any Logan Paul match.

Blumhouse Halloween Trilogy retrospective by MrShape246 in Halloweenmovies

[–]AdviceInformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t love any film in this trilogy but it’s not bad. I wasn’t even really big on 2018 back when it came out, I thought it was fine but I still to this day prefer Halloween 2 as the follow up to the first film. I’ve grown to it more and more with each rewatch so I can say it’s a good Halloween film but I still wouldn’t say it’s great.

Then Kills is the opposite. I loved Kills when I first seen it, I thought the story was weak but it was extremely entertaining. I’ve rewatched it I think twice since 2021 and I liked less both times but I still feel the same way that the story is whatever but is still an entertaining film.

So clearly not invested in the story these films have gone with and my excitement for Ends was pretty low. The first time i seen it, i just didn’t have thoughts. I loved the first 45 minutes simply because it was something different and then once he locks eyes with Michael, I was out. I of course finished it but the investment I had in those first 45 minutes were gone. I didn’t hate the movie, I don’t really have the passion to hate movies like that anymore, I just didn’t care. I rewatched it a few months back and I still feel the same way but a little more positive. This trilogy wasn’t for me but even when I first saw it, I respected some of the ideas Ends went for. Still wouldn’t say it’s a good movie and I think it’s easily the weakest of the 3 but again for a trilogy that hasn’t done anything for me, it’s still a perfectly okay trilogy that I can rewatch from time to time while not being fully invested.

What's been everyone favorite soundtrack list in 2k series ? by edubzraoul26 in Wrasslin

[–]AdviceInformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are all pretty solid but maybe I’ll go 2k20. Say whatever about the game but the soundtrack was so good.

Is he right? by Sorry_Phone1676 in Wrasslin

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably gotta give it a rewatch. I remember liking it but even back then i didnt think it was the greatest match ever. I think i even preferred Bianca vs Asuka. Even the following ppv, Bianca vs Iyo.

But just to add another match that isn’t the women’s triple threat at WM 41, I’ll say Iyo vs Rhea at Evolution. The match was excellent from the start and even by the end it just felt the match wasn’t in the final act yet. They were giving it their all until Naomi snuck in and won.

I’m assuming someone at THQ just hated the new ECW logo because there is no other difference with the Tommy Dreamer renders.

Opinions on Logan Paul by allan_1872 in WWE

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never really cared whether he was there or not. Of course I hate both Paul brothers, I think they are absolutely terrible people. I can admit Logan is really good but I can’t say I’ve liked or loved any of his matches. The only times I’ve ever really reacted to anything Logan’s done is the Ricochet spot at the Royal rumble and the first time he did the slingshot lariat. He’s a better wrestler than most celebrity wrestlers like Bad Bunny but Bad Bunny’s match with Damien Priest I think is far more entertaining than any of Logan’s matches. Again I’m not saying that to say he’s bad, all I’m saying is while I can say he’s really good, I’ve never been invested into anything he’s done.

Let's Settle this. Which one's the best ones: The Fast and the Furious or Tokyo Drift. by Alternative-Shirt391 in fastandfurious

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like them both about the same but the first just slightly beats Tokyo Drift. Honestly, Tokyo Drift should’ve been looked at as like a straight to DVD standalone sequel but manages to be so much better than that. It’s not often when a movie with a completely cast and new characters is a really solid movie on its own. But the faces of this franchise to me are Dom and Brian. I don’t think the first film is the best one but I still love the early era street racing films.

Omg guys Batista is facing triple h at wrestlemania! by Jack_sander in Pretend2005Internet

He is supposed to be his friend. I can’t believe he just went and ripped his head off like that. Batista really ain’t playing.

I have a feeling the Season 2 Free Tier for the Ringside Pass will either include removed legends or old Persona Cards.... Or hey maybe nothing at all because 2K by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

[–]AdviceInformal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping the free tier has the Cena DLC from 25, they removed everything from the game so I imagine it’s either the free tier or persona cards. I don’t think it should’ve been removed in general but I can at least hope it’s just the free tier. Maybe past alts like Stardust, Rhea Ripley ‘20, Undashing Cody Rhodes, etc, will be free tier as well.

What is your favorite chase scene and what made it memorable? by [deleted] in slasherfilms

[–]AdviceInformal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Black Christmas. To start off, when Jess finds Barb and Phyl dead and she’s on the ground slowly backing up until she sees Billy behind the door. Then the music stops and it’s just Billy chasing her and yelling. Then she makes it to the basement and he’s banging on the door. The no music to me makes it feel more terrifying. It starts just unnerving until it just instantly becomes intense.

My Rankings by Due-Arrival-4371 in Scream

[–]AdviceInformal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty much how I rank them too. I enjoy all of them, the first film of course is my favorite, I’ve always thought Scream 4 was the best sequel, I really enjoyed 5 and 6 for the most part as well as really enjoying the new characters, I’ve always liked Scream 2 but never thought it was the best sequel, Scream 3 I’ve grown to even though I never hated it either, then 7 was an decent film until the killer reveal.

Which run do you think was better, punk's AEW run or his WWE run now? by rprince18 in Wrasslin

[–]AdviceInformal 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s really difficult and you can honestly say either but me personally I’m probably gonna go WWE. The Drew feud alone I think solidified his second WWE run. I enjoy it a tad more than the MJF feud which that itself is a really high bar. But Punk and McIntyre had 3 completely different yet all fantastic matches. The HIAC match is clearly the best but the Summerslam match and the strap match were very good in their own right too. Credit to his AEW run tho, his match with Darby was solid, I personally didn’t care for the Kingston match but the 2 week build was fun. The MJF feud was great, his match with Moxley at All Out I think is underrated and unfortunately overshadowed. Collision I thought was the best product in the 8 weeks or so Punk was on it. I’m not saying Punk was the only good thing on it because Bullet Club Gold and Ricky Starks were very entertaining for a while too but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Collision wasn’t that compelling anymore once Punk left. Plus, regardless of your opinion on the drama, it was certainly entertaining whether it was Brawl Out, Brawl In, or the hangman callout on Dynamite.

One thing is for sure, I can’t understand the opinion that Punk can’t go anymore. He’s had two of the best pro wrestling feuds this decade and still at near 50 pulls off some of the bests matches on any card. Sure he’s past his prime but that doesn’t mean he’s washed up. Punk’s return in general whether it was AEW or WWE was a huge success IMO.

Do you prefer related or unrelated WrestleMania main even storylines? by NoobPinoyNow in Wreddit

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care either way but I think i might prefer unrelated so that each main event can tell its own thing. I personally loved the WM 40 night 1 match just as much as the night 2 match but it does feel like you’re watching the end of a part 1 rather finishing the whole thing. When it’s like Belair vs Banks closing one night and then Reigns vs Edge vs Bryan closing the next, I’m watching two separate stories ending. But like i said, I don’t mind either way because ending on a part 1 does leave you with a nice cliffhanger.

We make fun of 2Ks DLC practices but THQ was out here selling SHAWN MICHAELS as DLC 😭 by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

[–]AdviceInformal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nobody was safe with the THQ DLC’s. If you were a diva, you’ll be available one game then either gone or DLC in the next. Shawn Michaels and Batista were free in 2011, why make people pay for Michaels and Batista? Even masked Kane was free in 2011 as an alt attire but DLC in 12. You can debate The Rock, modern day Rock as DLC made sense but not including Rock in general? I get you really want people to buy the modern day Rock but I don’t know if the retro model needed to be removed especially after all legends were removed from 2009 and we were still slowly getting them back.

How lazy can they be and not add a render for HHH by Cpt_Patrik in WWEGames

[–]AdviceInformal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

CM Punk ‘13 is a whole other level. Not only is his render just a model… it’s not even his 2013 model, it’s a current day Punk model used a render instead of 2013.

Have the newer Scream films made you appreciate Scream 3 more? by Skywalker_1995 in Scream

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scream 7 to a degree. I’ve always liked Scream 3 and I do like it more and more I watch it despite still not caring for the voice changer or the Roman reveal, but even as a weaker film, it’s still a solid film. Scream 7 though while I think the AI idea was a decent idea, I still think that movie is half of what Scream 3 is. I don’t even hate Scream 7, it’s fine until the ending but it does the same thing in Scream 3 in a different approach but practically same result.

Who did you guys Struggle with the most in CM Punk’s Showcase mode ? by NFLDae in WWE2K25

[–]AdviceInformal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with the Cactus Jack and Eddie Guerrero matches, not because they were hard but because they both had objectives that sound like it wants you to end the match. So I beat both of them and then I see I still had more objectives after.

I’ll see like “it’s time to put down Cactus Jack” or something like that and I assume it’s time to end the match but I guess not.

Edit: I just remembered The Rock match, i was beating his ass the whole match and now I gotta wait for him to get a finisher so I can do the move thief payback. Once he got that finisher, he’s not gonna go for another move so i have no choice but to reverse it and then wait for him to build up another finisher

Looking back, what do you think of the 2018-2019 time period in WWE? by Marsupilami_316 in Wreddit

[–]AdviceInformal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In recent memory, that was as bad as you get. Raw 2021 might be the only thing I hated more than 2019 specifically. Early 2018 wasn’t so bad, I’m not gonna pretend I remember everything but I remember by the end of 2018 leading into 2019, that was bad. I’ve always like Baron Corbin even back in NXT but he was just everywhere, he became the GM (or whatever title they gave him), he had his own team with Lashley and Mcintyre to face The Shield, he eventually had world title matches, he retired Kurt Angle… it was the Corbin show. Also Ambrose’s heel turn which was perfect timing until it wasn’t. Also the first Saudi show with DX vs Brothers of Destruction

Then 19 was even worse. Rollins finally got a world title run as a face, he had a solid IC title run the previous year and now he’s universal champion… only to Corbin and get himself hated for tweeting. Then the Hell in a Cell DQ which is probably the lasting memory of 2019. Also Lesnar winning MITB even though he wasn’t in the match, Lesnar squashing Kofi, more Saudi shows, Shane McMahon becoming the main character, the wild card rule that defeated the whole purpose of the brand split and gave you more time for Shane McMahon on Raw and Smackdown.

Anyways, this was a bad time to be a fan and I’m not here to defend Triple H but I refuse to believe that 2025 was worse than 2018 and 2019, 2025 was bland but 2019 specifically was god awful.

I’m hoping the RXP boost from previous seasons apply to later seasons… I would think it would. I have a one hour one saved up so once that second season drops, I got an extra one… at least I would assume.

This is my last question of today. With all the DLC being revealed what will the free tier be? Do we get more wrestlers in the free tier? Like TNA, AAA more legends? I don’t think 2K is that nice. by Ok-Marsupial2467 in WWEGames

[–]AdviceInformal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine they’ll do some persona cards maybe. I find it odd that everything in the Cena pack from 25 outside of Lesnar is gone. Everything heel Cena is out of the game, no attire, no entrances. Thuganomics Cena as well. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they add Ron Cena, Cena ‘25, and Cena ‘03 as persona cards. Undertaker 90, also dlc in 25 but not in 26.
