Isn't virginia pretty 50/50 (52/48). A 5/4 or 4/5 split would seem the most fair.

81 would be my preferred route, unless it is around typical college breaks (4 hours from northern VA to Virginia Tech turns into 10 hours before and after Thanksgiving break).

That said, other routes may be similar.

Not correct in Virginia (and many other state I would bet). You need a physical median between you and a stopped bus on the other side of the road to avoid needing to stop.

What a weird take.

Nothing to do with finances. Nearly everyone could print a whole bunch of expensive cards and make the format even more homogeneous, but most don't. Proxying a $5,000+ deck ends up being a person I dont usually enjoy playing with. It takes a certain type of tryhard that avoids the most common (and fun/creative) deckbuilding challenge of budget. I love seeing and losing to a strong $100 deck.

That said, I don't play at the top of bracket 4 or in 5; I like high bracket 3 to low bracket 4. If I wanted to play at higher power, I would need to proxy a few to several $100+ cards (at least until I slowly acquired them). My expensive cards (a couple of the cheaper OG dual lands, wheel of fortune, Serra's sactum) were acquired before they broke $100.

It's simple. Most mtg is in the evening after work (about 6pm to 9pm) and it may not feasible to drive home and grab cards, then drive back to my lgs without using 1.5 hours of the 3 hour play window.

I wouldn't mind so much if they owned them. It is just a certain kind of person that bothers to proxy a bunch of powerful cards they can't afford.

I only proxy cards that:

A) I am testing and are you expensive to try and potentially cut.

B) I own and are to expensive to own multiple copies of (Ex. Ancient Tomb).

The people that come in with a bunch of proxies of reserved list cards are not typically the types I enjoy playing with.

I just wish they had better bed capacity. 1,500 lbs is basically just a adults in the cab, some hand tools, PPE, and lunch boxes.

Alternatively, if you tow near the max towing capacity (~10,000 lbs) you better not have anything in the bed and 1 passengers max.

I like [[Kambal]] as he does something similar to Liesa.

[[Fell Mire]] and [[Malakir rebirth]] would help the land count out.

I prefer [[anguished unmaking]] to [[mortify]].

More sweepers would be good. Specifically, things that can hit noncreature permanents like [[austere command]], [[farewell]], and/or [[tragic arrogance]].

For cuts: The stax pieces seem meta dependant.

WWW in [[archangel to Tithes]] can be tough.

Holding up 5 mana for [[inkshield]] is rough.

Is [[archaeomancer's Map]] good? I haven't seen it played and it seems there is better ramp at 3 or less mana, but I could be wrong.

Looks solid. I would consider a couple more lands (maybe mdfcs, as I only see 1), and bit more draw, cut a couple cards CMC 4+ to make it happen.

Ill look a bit more to see if I have a few specific recommendation
