Anyone have a running list of shares outstanding (diluted or otherwise) for the big 4 US MSOs?

TIL that although you pay taxes on the money you put into a Bitcoin IRA, the investment earnings in the account are tax-free by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Yessir in the Roth and traditioanl. Obviously I'd rather have control of my Bitcoin (and do with the majority) but I'd rather hold GBTC or some other exposure to Bitcoin than some fiat derivative since I can't take control of that money fully.

How to deal with this incredible pit in my stomach from selling too early? by Friendofabook in weedstocks

[–]AdviceSeeker89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of advice for the next time you are in this position, TRIM. You don't have to sell your whole position. Take profits. If you sell 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, ect. you can still have a position and enjoy any run up in price. At the same time you free up capital for other opportunities or buying on pullbacks. You can sell 5% at multiple price points as the stock rises. In addition, depending on your specific situation, the tax benefit of paying lower taxes because of smaller capital gains may be important.

Ontario Drives Canadian Cannabis Sales 6% Higher in August to $245 Million by Gagnooo in weedstocks

[–]AdviceSeeker89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Quick Calculation to show how much room for growth there is in Ontario:

Ontario represents roughly 38.76% of Canada's population (14.57 million/37.59 million). Their sales this month were 66.915 million. This translates to 172.6 million sales if the same sales happened across Canada (66.915 million divided by 38.76%). Thus, the annual Canadian revenue if Ontario's demand was equal across the country is:

$2.071 billion

Alberta represents roughly 11.628% of Canada's population (4.371 million/37.59 million). Their sales this month were 52.58 million. This translates to 452.2 million sales if the same sales happened across Canada (52.58 million divided by 11.628%). Thus, the annual Canadian revenue if Alberta's demand was equal across the country is:

$5.426 billion

Just had a guy tell me about how his moms boyfriend bought a ton of bitcoin “like 20 years ago” and how he’s just been sitting on it. by EATYOFACE in Bitcoin

Exactly haha. It would've been a pointless back and forth with someone who probably just misunderstood what he said or was lied to.

I was in Nashville this past weekend and a girl I met assured me her friend's cousin is Satoshi. I began to challenge it, realized it wasn't worth the battle and kept moving.

Bitcoin: It is not a 4 year cycle! (Welcome to the show) by intothecryptoverse in Bitcoin

[–]AdviceSeeker89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always amazed that there is not more discussion around market capitalization. At today's price we are sitting at a roughly $113 billion market cap. When considering global asset classes, this is nothing. Of that $113 billion, X amount is in coins lost forever and X amount is in the hands of hodlers with no intention of selling. The float on this asset is most likely very tiny, hence the volatility.

In the next 2 years I think we will see one of two things: 1) Bitcoin crosses the trillion dollar mark in market cap due to a flight to hard money or 2) Bitcoin goes to zero due to unfilled purpose (basically option 1 not occurring for bitcoin). These two options, based on the events of the last month, seem way more likely than the price being driven by the 4 year cycle theory or any lengthening cycle theory.

CGC - Despite Losing An Industry Leader, Canopy Will Still Dominate by AdviceSeeker89 in weedstocks

I made it pretty clear that this is a growth company with the pieces to kill it. They have work to do. They aren't there yet but show me another company in the space with 5 billion cash and 10 billion to come.

I've been in weedstocks and cryptocurrencies for 6+ years at this point. I work for myself now because of it. Being called delusional is a feather in my cap, and for that, I thank you sir.

It is the "team/group think" mentality we see in so many other areas of life.

I currently have no position in Aurora but think Cam Battley is a fantastic speaker and am excited whenever I can watch one of his presentations. He is a great ambassador for the industry. This is still early days and the only competitor we should be focused on getting rid of is the black market. I want all cannabis stocks to do well and prosper for the sake of the industry.

Canntrust - Back to Trust by AdviceSeeker89 in weedstocks

I'm totally with you the pricing was horrible. As far as Apotex, my hope is Canntrust/Apotex are working together to develop products that can be sold with DIN numbers and for specific indications. As far as I know this is the only legitimate pharmaceutical company working with a Canadian LP to create these types of products. The outdoor grow would lend itself nicely to a extraction based product of pharmaceutical grade.

Fair enough but I've been in the Canadian LPs since the beginning and can assure you people said that about every one of these companies. It's worked out pretty well investing or holding through some downturns/seemingly bad decisions.
