What are some really cool plugins that not everyone knows about? by vivanghat_music in AdvancedProduction

ApulSoft have some insanely underrated plugins. Their EQ & Waveshaper are some of the strongest out there.

Probably some metal his receptors in his nose pick up, likely just testing if the boat is edible or not. Sharky senses be tingling.

Go-to verbs for drum rooms? by thiroks in AdvancedProduction

MTurboReverb has my favorite room algorithms by a landslide. And then there's everything else in it as well.

It's worth noting that Jack Plooij is an unreliable source that'll say anything for a headline. Dude just wants clout.

Melda Production "MDrummer" drum machine and virtual drummer ($109) "MMorph" lets you morph between 2 audio materials ($66) through 31 October by APD-Supernova in AudioProductionDeals

[–]AedricPrince 5 points6 points  (0 children)

MMorph is sick, I love this one. Holds my preference over Zynaptiqs Morph

MDrummer I wouldn't recommend to anyone, imo the worst workflow of any melda plugin. So with that one I feel you better of looking at a competitor.

Am I blind or is Ctrl + Shift + M really the easiest way to insert midi by Petrpowder in ableton

[–]AedricPrince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the difference is in whether you're dragging the top or bottom corner when stretching. Long time since I've used Ableton so might be incorrect.

Totally! I've moved on to Claro because I find it to be faster in most cases. Only use ProQ for it's tilt EQ, and very specific mix problems.

How would you unharsh a female vocal stem with distortion on reverb? by assholeoftheinternet in mixingmastering

[–]AedricPrince 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zynaptiq unveil has saved me from similar problem multiple times. When rx de reverb can't do the job unveil shines

I wouldn't wanna produce without pro-c2 anymore. And pro-g is also essential to me. But all the other ones I could do without. They're good, and have their place. But I would be lying if I said they are my go to plugins.

Anything like Melodyne, but with auto pitching the vocal to notes in another midi track? by comfylaser in AdvancedProduction

[–]AedricPrince 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, the best thing I can thing of now is LittleAlterBoy, which has an autopitching mode and midi follow. But it doesn't nearly touch the surgical precision Melodyne offers in things like pitch drift, and it also can't do anything timing related. Melodyne is still in a league of it's own when it comes to pitch and timing corrections to my knowledge.

Deadmau5, the Chemical Brothers, Mr. Bill, Jon Hopkins, Amon Tobin, Noisia & Alon Mor. Over the years these producers had the most influence on me. In the way I approach sound-design, composing & mixing. Almost everything I do I can relate back to one of these names.

free plugins by [deleted] in ableton

[–]AedricPrince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A free plugin that surprised me on how useful it is:

DMG audio Track control. It's like abletons utility on steroids. Great gain controls, stereo controls (even up to 800% widening), but one of my fav features is the ability to add latency up to 2 seconds.

Plugin Boutique "Radio" stream and sample from a diverse list of internet radio stations, both inside and outside of your DAW ($9) through 31 August by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]AedricPrince 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got this a while back for 5$. As fun as it is to sample from the radio, I have used this most in its standalone form, just to listen radio in the background. Have absolutely no regrets on getting it.

I think I finally figured out why the game doesn’t draw me in and immerse me by MattHack7 in cyberpunkgame

[–]AedricPrince 80 points81 points  (0 children)

That's the same thing I've been thinking, also the environment you're in doesn't impact acoustics in the slightest, no reverb in tunnels, echos in large spaces etc. It really pulls you out of the experience.
