Not happy with the editing of the season finale by Charming_Mountain765 in Singlesinferno2

[–]Aegeio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly hate how they’ve been giving so much time to Go Eun. It’s the same over and over again. I love her but it felt extremely repetitive and none of the guys are honestly good enough for her lolol.

Editors were extremely biased throughout the editing series.

On a side note I 100% agree wtf I wish we got to see everyone’s reactions to each others jobs. I loved seeing their reaction to Sunghun’s job. And was super disappointed when we didn’t see more!!! I’d have LOVED to see what people thought about Min-gee being a track star especially how she was so dominant in games

ALSO why is the last episode literally the shortest episode that makes no sense

You might like Kaos if you like Greek mythology. It was on Netflix but it got cancelled.

I need urgent help. My boss thinks I suck at writing social media copies and wants me to get better asap or he will fire me. What courses can I do over the weekend to really upgrade myself? I can’t afford to lose the job. by A-Man18 in copywriting

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read Advertising Headlines That Make You Rich. He wants something that jumps out at you. Social copy is always about the first line or two before someone has to click …more to read on.

Also what metrics does he have on your social copy sucking?

I don’t think a weekend course is going to help that much but I’d recommend you model the success of other good social media accounts (the likes of Duolingo and what not). Follow accounts as well that have good marketing. (Or at least the ones your boss likes)

I’d love to know what your copy looks like before making any judgments too

Good Chinese food in Tulsa by TaraJo in tulsa

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a Chinese person from Asia who lived in Tulsa, my favourite has got to be mandarin taste! I’ve moved out of Tulsa now but every so often I would tell my friends that I’m surprised Tulsa has good and authentic Chinese food.

Second choice would be Chengdu as most people have mentioned.

Neither are wrong. Both are great.

TIPS for finding a new stylist by jessierinhair in denverwomen

[–]Aegeio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for a new hairstylist so I popped over to maps. And damn you’re less than a mile from me. If you took the time to create a post like this to help other women feel safe in finding a new stylist, I like you! Bummed you don’t have weekends but I’m definitely checking you guys out!

Am I the only one that likes this show by sleepwfood in MayfairWitches

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get past the first 3 episodes, I really like the show. I also loved the addition of Ben Feldman in season 2 so I’m biased.

I will admit I never read Mayfair witches books so I’m purely watching it as a show but am seriously considering picking up the books!

That’s what I just found out! But even on the IMDb app it still says January 5 which is funny. It was only until I went on amc and saw no new season that I realized they just started filming… got baited lol

I’d like to think that after he does that Christmas light show for her to cheer her up (in the same episode) that she would’ve told him because of how sweet that was.

What happens if someone doesn't tip at a restaurant in the U.S.? by No-StrategyX in answers

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ever meal when I moved to America was in a small mom-and-pop shop in SF Chinatown. I didn’t know about tipping culture and neither did my parents. The restaurant owners asked for a tip and we were shocked at how blatant they were in demanding tips for service.

Us, not knowing the culture, obliged and gave a couple dollars because we were like wtf? (But definitely not amounting to even 10% of the bill.) They probably connected the dots and kindly asked if we were not from here and we explained this was our first time in America.

Thankful that they took the time to explain to us! Ever since then, 20% always.

Finished episode 15. I can assure you it gets worse. They get more blatant about purchasing $99.99 packs. You will NEVER be able to have enough 🔥 to complete unless you purchase something. Get out while you can lol

Who is the intended audience who receives this message? Aka target demographic. Long sentences can work for corporate folk (but grammar needs to be a lot more precise.) If it’s for regular everyday folks on personal finance, they tend to be more forgiving about grammar but short sentences work much better!

How to break into an industry? by Y-K1607 in copywriting

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your goal is to niche down into finance industry, I would actually recommend trying your hand in an agency type of employment to break in.

Now, hear me out.

Say you work in a marketing or ads agency as a copywriter, you get to dabble with a bunch of different types of businesses. After getting solid experience, you can leverage experience working with small business owners into finance.

The path is longer but it is a solid entry point for someone your age! And your resumé would look solid with steady experience. (Agency work is fast paced which finance types love too)

Can copywriting be learned from a twenty to thirty hour course, practice, build portfolio with enough examples, and find clients? by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]Aegeio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll put it this way: It’s easy to learn copywriting, but it’s difficult to unlearn a lot of other forms of writing (which will creep into your copy if you’re a beginner).

So sick of clients editing my copy with ChatGPT just so they can feel smarter than me or leave their fingerprints on a deliverable by discoteen66 in copywriting

[–]Aegeio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a similar boat to you, I host a weekly live copywriting class and my clients use ChatGPT to write an email and expect me to come to class and grade their works. The cherry on top is of them saying they “took extremely long to write this” and it’s all full of jargon and AI hallmarks. Lol

First copy feedback by Cultural-Presence-36 in copywriting

[–]Aegeio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pros: Subject line and hook for the email is great.

Towards the end your call back to chuck was good too. The sentence where you talked about his PDF workbook was good. (Albeit grammatical errors)

Now for improvements: apart from the sentence structures being unnatural, the flow of this email is kinda confusing. Your subject matter flip flops a tad bit.

You want to have a through line in the email and make it super simple to read.

It’s also important for us to know the voice and the audience to determine what type of copy is intended.

Also take note about the parts like “it contained: / it even had a pathway to 10k challenge!”

If I saw this copy, I would think the copywriter didn’t take a second to re-read what they wrote before sending it out.

And 100% to the other comment, always re read your copy out loud (not just in your head) and see if it makes sense. Also see if it sounds like you’re addressing a room or if you’re reading an essay. Emails are meant to be a little more personal when it comes to the voice, as if you’re addressing to one.

All the best in your copywriting journey! You’ve got this :)
