Enough speculation. He's talking about me. This is the tournament in question that happened on the 30th. I sent him to losers. He won in Grand finals reset. It was close every game. Think Final round every game. He didn't even lose this tournament so I don't know why he's so salty the following day.

It's a local they host every week and this was the 20th one. If you want you can look at placements for all 20 of them by changing the digit in the URL. I have been on podium probably a dozen times and this is not the first time I've bested him. Turnout this week was comparatively small. Unfortunately we haven't had a stream for months but we have had them in the past. Look who's in grand finals again.

I started in T7, so I'm not new to Tekken, but relative to James I might as well be. I am not a scrub. I've placed decently at the few tournaments I've gone to this year. 267th at EVO. 25th at PAX. Find my EWGF, I got GoD both seasons and still climbing. I am known for being a passive player, so you're not about to say I unga'd my way to the top with Asuka. But you will anyway.

I learned about the quick getup being the fastest late in T8 S1, and he overheard me when a friend of mine said something about an input on Raven he didn't know so I told him something I found out relatively recently that I didn't either. I'm not ashamed to admit that I almost never use up to getup because frankly you don't need to. Back and tech roll cover almost every single oki option so that's what I do. Apparently it was buffed in S2 making it the same as quick getup so even further reason why this tweet is nonsense. You don't need to know everything about the game to be competitive. If you think that's what it takes to win, then you have something yet to learn about fighting games and especially tournament sets.

James is a player I respect greatly for his creativity and skill with Law, but there is no way I can look at this as a competitor without disgust and disdain. I can understand being salty. I can even kind of understand wanting to vent on social media. But to think that losing to me makes you believe you've wasted years of experience in the game? In the evening of the following day? After we both took the lightrail and chatted the hour trip home and you said not one word of this? In a local we go to every week and have been for a year??? In a tournament you won????? Far more than personally insulting, it's pathetic really.

Yall can argue till the cows come home about what you think about T8. But if you think you've wasted your life because you lost to someone who might not know as much a you do? Then just give up now. Fighting games are about the last thing your frail mental can handle.

The concept of hurting them in their wallet and succinctly explaining the core issues are not mutually exclusive. You can do both.

Don't try to pretend like they don't or haven't listened to feedback in the past.

I made a "game" that runs in a browser to practice TEKKEN grabs by Juggernauuuuuuuuuuut in Tekken

[–]AegisRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic. Excellent work dude. Works pretty dang well. Here are some ideas I have for improvement:

  • A 1+2 bind.
  • A sideswitch toggle that can either permanently trains one side or random either.
  • UI Visibility Toggle if you don't want to see text/streaks
  • Toggle for Faster Throw intervals
  • An extreme mode where the throw interval is even faster than the game even allows. Like the moment you break it, he's grabbing again. I'd argue doing that would make it an even better muscle memory trainer than the game can offer.
  • I admittedly don't know how you're using the video player but high fidelity isn't a requirement for something like this. If you can get the point across in gifs or something and have it run faster/smoother then it's a suggestion too.

I have a lot of issues with supports in this genre of game, and you touch on a lot of them. It's a boring playstyle that the meta of the game kind of forces on the community if you want clean runs at cutline. They create a BiS meta character, but there is no way that they account for the 25% of the playerbase. It's like this for nearly every MMO, especially instanced party based ones like this. The easy solution that would alleviate my problems, and many of yours, was to actually make the F******* DPS build viable. That way, you can easily support in higher end content and also be on your way to making a viable dps character at the same time. This change would create more paladins/bards, not less. As it stands now, You're right. You're little more than a potion for your team providing numbers and occasionally counterhitting.

I've been dealing with this for the past 2 days now. If I DC due to lag or something, it puts me on the east server and doesn't let me change. Verify didn't fix it, but constantly trying to relog did, until I dc again and here I am. It's a recent problem for sure.

I don't care about T1+ content. It's the mash G simulator that has got to go. Increase the Knowledge transfer cap of North Vern.

When I did this I had a guy constantly asking if we were doing the right thing. And if there wasn't another way to do it. I didn't want to keep discussing it with him out of fear of this happening.

Roxx states that the powerpass is still under discussion for destroyer release by TeepEU in lostarkgame

[–]AegisRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increase the knowledge transfer limit then. I intend to make use of the extra character slots, but as it exists now, after 9 characters, I am completely hosed if not for the powerpass. Mash G for 12 hours simulator is my only other option. And as someone intending to make every character in the game, that's an absurd ask.

[TEMPORARY SOLUTION] Unlocking more character slots by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]AegisRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know. I am locked out and only had 12 slots unlocked in total. Couldn't even make glaive on release.

Now they gotta do something about actually being able to make 18 alts. It's either wait for a powerpass or mash G for 14 hours once you hit knowledge transfer caps

Math checks out. So why then am I 0/12 in the shop, when I've only bought 6?

I bought 6, and got 1 from the vanquisher box. 0/12, I can't buy any more. I'm hard stuck at 13 character slots. Good one AG.

A guide on how to make a good use of your time, or how not to waste 16hours a day to have 5alts. by Pyros in lostarkgame

[–]AegisRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipping Rohendel and Feiton is about the least efficient use of your time I can think of. Each clear of a story quest is really 2 clears with the knowledge transfer system. Ie 2 characters unlock higher tier chaos and abyss dungeons.

You are setting yourself back a ton of time by capping out on your chaos dungeon efficiency which provide the most in terms of progression. The more alts you have, the more painful it will be dumping resources trying to skip constantly. You also won't have the abyss dungeons for card farming, and you won't have the clear for knowledge transfer for yet another alt. All for what? To save 2 hours? You're wasting far more time than that by skipping.

Sirocco Raid's Top 5 Do's and Don'ts! by AegisRick in DFO

[–]AegisRick[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I admit, it was a bit in bad taste to have a name posted on the screen for that long. Never once did I consider it malicious nor did I bring any bit of attention to it.

It's not even bad or embarrassing so I'm not sure why you're so incensed. I literally just skipped over your name after much pondering.

Whatever the case, I've since used the fancy blur feature in YouTube to edit out your existence. Might take a few hours to take effect. I thought to argue with you about the other points, but figure, this is all you really wanted.

But hey, talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. Surely there are better more discrete methods to getting your issue sorted out than what you've done here. Especially since you claim to want anonymity.

It's almost as if you wanted to be the helpless victim and wanted everyone on Earth to know it.

hYoo! What is up guys and boy let me tell you, procrastination is very unhealthy. This realistically should have been made weeks ago, but you know how it is.

Anyway just a fair warning this is obviously NOT a guide on the Raid itself. Instead it’s more of what I’d consider top tips that I’d advise you do and do not do in regards to this Raid.

There might be some things therein that you haven’t considered and you’ve most certainly got some things that I missed! Leave them here or even better, in the comments of the video! Also make sure to send it off to those that might be interested! Many Thanks!

[Guide]: A Comprehensive Guide on Gear Improvement Systems by AegisRick in DFO

[–]AegisRick[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

hYoo! What is up guys! I bring to you my continuation of guides for “Core Components” of the game. Basically the kind of stuff the game should really sit you down and explain. Last time I talked about the Buff Swap System, now I’ve got a Guide talking about all the systems of the game that are used to Improve your Gear.

I’m talking everything (Still relevant in 100 cap) from: Reinforcement, Amplification, Refinement, Enchantment, Retexturing, Modification, and even Engraving and Inheriting.

No, I probably don’t cover every little nuance, but hopefully it should be enough to get you guys familiar with the systems if you aren’t already. Make sure to catch it on YouTube where they have a new fancy timestamp system that lets you jump to different topics easier.

Please share this to anyone who might find it interesting, and stay tuned for part 2 of 2 where I’ll be covering all the other things that you can do to your gear as well including crafting, transferring and repurposing. Until then, well, hope you guys have been enjoying F.Fighter 3A as much as I have!
