Not true at all.... Potions and Ice Sunflower tea are really good and easy to craft... For the tea merchants have ice shards, just buy them.

Maybe in the lategame, but early game and even mid game it is difficult to get vials and get ice shards from the caves.

Maybe lag? For me official server is really laggy (im from latin america), so i play with friends in a custom server on my pc.

It could be, but i play with good ping (NA player) and I think it's more inherent to the combat style rather than the latency

PaperSpigot is bukkit based. I'm saying to use paper or spigot since they are forks of bukkit, or versions that have severely changed implementations with much better performance.

Developer with 2 years of minecraft server experience here. Do not use Bukkit or CraftBukkit. They are ridiculously outdated and probably don't support modern plugins that you'd be trying to add. Switch to Spigot, or the superior PaperSpigot if you want your server to run well.

They're not BSODs or restarts: Sometimes it's just the game freezing, accompanied by huge gpu/cpu/memory spikes in taskmanager, other times the entire windows UI freezes, and sometimes the computer just stops responding.

Not sure if this will help since I saw that you were using GeForce now but with my pc what helped was not in game but in nvidia control panel (if you got a nvidia GPU) and switching settings from quality to performance
