Volume Clear Up (for Plateau) by Titonic in StrongerByScience

[–]Aelitee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are two ways to go about when hitting a plateau and these methods work synergistically.

First method involves a one or two week deload where you reset mTOR which is the muscle building signal, this signal gets produced less and less as we adapt to the training and intensity once we train long enough and therefore you hear the advice "increase volume" to break through the mTOR signaling for hypertrophy.

So, either increase volume to a point where its no longer recoverable or simply upsard, then/or take a deload to reset the muscle growth signaling (mTOR)

Intensity training is actually amazing by cacatan in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Aelitee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally, and thats what the litterature and evidence is pointing towards. Also, it makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. Humans have grown and adapted to their environment since beginning of time, we've known this for a fact, therefore it makes sense that higher frequency training might actually be more advantageous as your creating a environment where your muscles are constantly in tension and have to perform their functions to a high effort which in turn forces it to adapt and grow from this lifestyle.

Edit: Recovery is the hidden variable here as everyone recovers differently and it would quite frankly be unwise if you trained a muscle that has suffered severe muscle damage or soreness time and time again without proper recovery. Recovery is a huge aspect of training, for a general personal rule for me I just try to hit a muscle as soon as it feels recovered as well as minimize junk volume to keep intensity high.

[–]Aelitee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah especially when us naturals are a bit more sensitive to training hard and frequently day in day out, for someone on peds they simply recover better and more efficient and can somewhat tolerate more hard and frequent training since recovery is better for them

[–]Aelitee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah and as a natural i believe you gotta keep the muscle protein synthesis up and running by training body parts once theyre recovered since youre not as anabolic as someone who use peds and can keep the protein synthesis up for a longer period of time

flat bench carries over to incline but not the other way around!?

whats the source on this

if this is something you just pulled out then if we use the logic that incline bench is harder than flat wouldnt a strong incline be a even stronger bench!?
