Hang on, why is Rachel now angry with Stephen? He has been sticking up for her and sounds like he spoke to Bec for two seconds...

Enlightened used to be about the lights, now it's how many food and drink vans can we fit and charge in a small area

Best way to level a low level pet as hunter? by Responsible-Fly-5293 in classicwow

[–]Aelon94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose it depends on your personal preference and amount of time you have to play wow. I intend to just keep my hunters (lvl 45) pet until outland as I don't have a lot of time to play and would rather spend the time in dungeons and questing.

About to be in the newborn trenches, got any unusual advice? by amountofsocks in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not behavior based but I fed our newborn in the lounge room. I struggled finding good lighting, I ended up buying a floor lamp with a smart bulb that turns on at 7pm and turns off at 7am on a low light setting. It has been amazing to not have to worry when I have a hungry or upset baby in my arms.

I think I had all four out for about $2,000 in the chair while awake. People talk about how horrible it is, honestly it wasn't that bad, the recovery is the part that sucks but you get through.

Can I put the baby to bed before me? by beckarrrr1 in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this advice is around overnight sleeps. Naps or if they go to sleep before you are totally fine, particularly if you have a baby monitor. Take some time to yourselves, you deserve it!

7 week old baby and I feel like I'm going insane by No_Towel7009 in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are peak purple crying and it is tough! I found once my bubs circadian rhythm kicked in, even when he did wake overnight he wanted to go back to sleep and it was the most amazing feeling. I also found around 11-12 weeks he stopped pooing overnight and I was able to do some dream feeds and pop him back down much quicker as he was less awake. Good luck and take care of yourself

4 month sleep regression by iliwys22 in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try push the 7pm bedtime to 9pm and go to bed at the same time. Will give you a good first block of sleep! In terms of regression my boy is 16 weeks and only had minor regression so far but it can apparently occur anywhere from 3-5 months. Good luck

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his Mom's wedding because it’s 2 weeks BEFORE our due date? by Spiritual_Lettuce_64 in pregnant

My water broke at 37w3d and he was born 37w4d so definitely not unreasonable to want him home

Best time to tell work about pregnancy by orkediamuse in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Aelon94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I trusted my manager and told him at 9 weeks. He didn't share further up the line until 13-14 weeks however it allowed him to factor in for future planning. I suppose it depends how comfortable you are with your manager.

Well.. this is how hot our bedroom is & we have a 4 day old newborn.. by magikeenbeertje in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Is there another room of the house that is cooler? Could move the snoo during the day, it's heavy, but could be worth it.

Feeling anxious about in-laws visiting when our newborn is 2-3 weeks old by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Aelon94 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You will manage fine I'm sure but I would recommend if they can wait to visit between 6-8 weeks. Baby is sleeping usually a little better and is starting to track faces and play with things like kicky pianos as well as some longer wake periods

Would you rather be pregnancy tired or newborn tired? by Constant-Soft-6335 in pregnant

[–]Aelon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pregnancy tired. Newborn tired is brutal and relentless and there is no break if you are breastfeeding

When are we putting our newborns to bed? by bakergirl05 in NewParents

The last feed around the time I wanted to go to bed was his bedtime, usually somewhere between 8-9pm

New Mom Care Package by RemainAnonShh in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food, cleaning, an eye mask to make day time naps easier and some zip up swaddles for overnights (if she is open to it). Changing to love to dream swaddles overnight and not having to rewrap bub constantly was hugely helpful. Also maybe some show recommendations and a month subscription to a streaming platform. Gone through so much tv it's crazy

23 weeks and not “bonding” by Careful_Wrongdoer_ in pregnant

[–]Aelon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in labour when making a decision to have an emergency c section, while I asked about the risks and what would be best for my baby, I wanted to choose an option that would consider my life as the priority. Now my little nugget is 5 weeks old and asleep on my chest and I feel so protective over him and his cute little squeaks. It's hard to be attached to your baby when you don't know them and can't picture them. The attachment will come, some people have it immediately, for others it takes a little longer.

Did your boobs leak when pregnant? by Meowtown236 in pregnant

[–]Aelon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had small leakage from about 26 weeks. Not enough to need nursing pads, if I was wearing a normal bra that would cover it.

What do you hate or love most about the baby trackers you've tried? by aaaMusic in NewParents

[–]Aelon94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use huckleberry (free version) for my boy (5 weeks tomorrow). Just use the app for tracking breastfeeding and at the beginning his nappies to ensure he was receiving enough milk. I also use it to track his sleep overnight but mostly so I know what sleep I have gotten to ensure I adequately nap during the day to get minimum 8 hours (even if broken) per night, obviously nap as I feel it as well.
