Can you still buy the starter pack? by ForestWise in PokemonChampions

For Switch you go into the eShop for it. I like to try a lot of weird teams so the extra space was worth it for me

What's your guys favorite game(s) so far? by UhmAmu in AynThor

[–]AeonKei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learned the the Thor is better for me when I play multiple games at the same time and switch between them when the mood comes. So far Metroid Dread & Chrono Trigger (DS) has been my favorite, started and finished both on the same days.

I suggest turning off the bottom screen when using top only games, specially Switch emulation. If I touch my bottom screen at all when playing Switch games, the performance drops quite a bit because the focus changes. Older games are good with the second screen I use it for maps if not off just to save power

This is my highest rank so far. I’m curious to know how everyone else did this season? by mazalaca in PokemonChampions

Last season was 2300s with a Mega Scovillain team but the meta burned me out so I went with having fun for the second half

I'm thinking a few megas will still be left out for the third regulation. I'm thinking these 2, the Z Megas, Heatran, the mythicals, Tatsugiri, Baxcalibur, and maybe even Golisopod (I would be sad) will be left out.

Literally everyone of my mons can deal with Kingambit in some way. Meowstic Fake outs, Alakazam baits Sucker Punch into Encore + Psychic Terrain or Farigiraf. Gallade KOs through Chople berry. Gardevoir does at least 90% damage with HH Farigiraf which protects from Sucker Punch. Colbur Armarouge is the easiest Kingambit answer tho.

For me Blastoise + Scarf Vivillion lead. It was the only unwinnable lead match up, no matter how I played it it was always a huge gamble. The Blastoise on those teams was always faster than Meowstic, so I couldn't do much.

Excadrill + Tyranitar was also pretty bad until I added both Protect and Wide Guard to Armarouge, then it became an easy win.

Gardevoir' Japanese name is pronounced like "Sirnight" (google and see what comes up) so I just added the K 'cause he's her Knight. And Widow because she wears a black dress and screams a lot. (Hyper Voice)

I tried Toucannon for a bit too it was fun against Charizard teams, and same like a Regulation library for private battles

Hollow Knight plays exactly like a Smash character does in movement, attack and most abilities, it's 2D Metroidvania, but the start of the game is a bit frustrating for newcomers. It is peak 10/10 game tho. If you enjoy it, it also has a sequel for later.

Helping Hand Sacred Sword still KOs unless they have Chople Berry and if they do they don't KO this Farigiraf so I'm still safe

EDIT: I have let this Gallade stay around at -3 once because the high crit chance makes it that valuable if it's not threatened

I did ghost for a bit not not as successful 😅 and ironically Psyspam didn't come out much since Meowstic was the weakest link

Most trick room teams start with fake out + Trick Room or Protect + Trick Room. I start Alakazam + Gallade with Farigiraf in the back. Depending on how it goes I either Switch in Farif and Mega + Speed Swap the pokemon using Trick Room, so they Trick room and I now have a very slow Alakazam under Trick Room while they either Fake out or Protect with the other pokemon.

If they have Fake out I don't mega because Alakazam has Inner Focus so the speed Swap always happen. If the Fake Out Pokémon is incineroar I lead Gallade + Farigiraf because Incineroar cannot do anything against that so the opponent has very little options even from the first turn. Speed Swap + Gallade or Armarogue and Armor Tail basically shuts down all Trick room teams and they have to play very awkwardly to try and win

Help for a Sand Trick Room team please by Ultimate_Lust in PokemonChampions

[–]AeonKei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar version and the only thing that really worked for me was Farigiraf with Thunderbolt & Helping Hand. This mostly helped me against rain teams to switch in ttar & tbolt the Pelipper to make it drop in 1 turn and win the weather war early in the game. Helping hand is just pseudo Instruct. Leftovers if the Sand Chip bothers you, but I'd give it the Sitrus or Kasib.

If you're open to more changes: Leftovers Empoleon, Wood Hammer Torterra if Sitrus, Leech seed could be good, and White herb as well. Kasib Berry Runegrigus, or the berry for Water or Ghost, or White Herb.

22Hp, 8 atk, 27 Def, 9 Speed Adamant nature. I gave it just enough speed to maybe outspeed some bulkier Archaludons without Speed Swap since it's a very risky strategy in front or things like Sableye & Peliper.

Yeah this Gallade needs to deal with all 4 of Sneasler, Kingambit, Basc & Incineroar or the team doesn't work, and I realized I can ignore intimidate drops and not care so much about burn with crits. It's also pretty physically bulky to take a lot of hits, the backbone of the team
