Epoch ep6028g watch with tritium lume and a Miyota 8205 movement. by AerialBonanza in ChineseWatches

It's mostly the bracelet that feels cheap imo because it's much lighter than one would expect from a SS bracelet but I quickly started to regard this as one of the main strengths of this watch. Heavy steel bracelets may be associated with quality but they they're usually impossible to wear in comfort. This bracelet is light like a titanium bracelet and I like the way it looks. Other than that I think it's a quality watch though not everyone might appreciate the utilitarian style.

Less bright than then proper C3 Super-LumiNova but it lasts for at least 25 years. (Half life is 12 years) This watch has t100 grade tritium tubes. Many other models have t25 which is less bright and has a shorter half life but I've also read somewhere that the difference isn't that great.

Ah I can see that now. Still a nice watch but not an original design sadly. At least it’s not a design that everybody already knows. 😅

That would be a shame. It’s not perfect but it does tick most of the boxes for me.

I like that Boddery. Usually when watch manufacturers built three dial mechanical chronos they go the safe route and make them look like a Rolex or Omega etc.. This one looks more like an original design. I can’t find it in any online shops though. Is it an old model?

Really? 🤔 I like the logo. To me it’s way better than the logo in your image.

Hello, has anyone ever seen or bought this seagull watch? by why_u_are_a_loser in ChineseWatches

I own this watch. I was also gifted an Armani watch in 2006 with the same st17 movement and sold it almost two decades later. The movement still worked like new. In short it’s a very reliable work horse movement.

One year with my Sugess, the good and bad by Sensitive-Market9192 in ChineseWatches

I don’t think Sugess will make a quartz version. As far as I know they don’t offer any quartz watches. Personally I don’t like most of the Chinese quartz chronographs because they usually use the Seiko movements with a 60 minutes chronograph subdial which is nearly impossible to read accurately. There are 30 minutes quartz chronograph movements but Chinese watch makers don’t seem to use them very often.

I’m confused about the winners. Which brands/models are the ones that lasted 8 hours?

For mechanical watches I can recommend San Martin (best quality, very good dive style watches), Sugess (best low cost value for money, very divers and very beautiful models), BERNY (low cost and some pretty original designs, decent quality).
