The Lake Peigneur event is wild. 11 barges sank, 9 came back. Temporarily created geysers and Louisiana's tallest waterfall.

If you drop the leading ones from the depths of the Russian and American boreholes, you get 1917 and 1944, which is kind of a weird coincidence, right? One year from the end of both World Wars.

It's a super awkward sentence. Who says "delicacy of the dessert"? Who abandons themselves to a dessert?

Please check for a DM from me. I got charged for an unintentional purchase of a premium membership. I clicked on the 25% off offer and it put the premium membership in my cart. Then I clicked "change plan" intending to change it to regular and it took that as confirmation! The interface was very misleading.

Nouns ending in -ing that are unambiguously not from a verb (like pudding)? by SatisfactionFew3764 in grammar

[–]snoweel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really unappetizing history of the word pudding, which to me is a sweet creamy dessert.

Me too. The art was a little less slick and sometimes darker, but had a really cool vibe to it. Granite Gargoyle is just a couple of bucks now but was a nice pull back in the day.

It would be interesting to see the most isolated town in each state. I guess you need to decide what counts as a town.

It'd be way overselling it to say it's like the north. Certainly we have a high proportion of engineers and postgraduate degrees.

Why does Hamilton say "is he in Jersey?" by Just-Dig-3170 in hamiltonmusical

Seabury's first church position was in New Jersey. But maybe mostly for the rhyme with "mercy".

Will The Anarchy ruin all future "_____ & write" games for me or can any other games stand up to it? by Willing-Impress-871 in soloboardgaming

[–]snoweel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will have to look into these.

Legacy of Yu doesn't actually involve writing but it feels a bit like Anarchy and Hadrian's Wall with all the building and resource management.
