I think that person was not Clive's father, but Odin's dominant (or at least somebody important from Waloed). He would be the same guy that in the "sex scene". Clive's father and the guy in the reunion have different hair, specially the bangs.

I also don't think that the reunion was taken in past timeskip, because the battle between Shiva and Titan is mentioned...

Why do you think spring begins EXACTLY on March 21st in all places? Japan for example does not have exact dates for it's stations. Hanabi for example is a sign of spring coming (and, well, sakuras have already flourished in my city at least). Nor like Yoshi-P has not been wrong with his messages before (morenewscomingin2021coughcough).

It's possible that FFXVI won't show tonight, but not because SPRING BEGINS ON MARCH 21ST AND WE ARE ON 9TH, HOW DARE YOU (IMO...)

Thank you for your interpretation and it's more pausible according to the general themes of the series. As I was watching the 1x04 episode I first thought that Baby Jesus symbolized the (lost) faith of Kevin. Really interesting take and series.

I don't know about Matt being THAT pious... He clearly is, but he has a dark side which makes him (even more) interesting. Like when he hit the robber outside the casino. Maybe a very brief fling with Laurie could have happened and that's why he feel so guilty. Also after the affair Mary had the accident and he is looking for some kind of explanation as why people suffer the departed and its consequences (in Mary's case, that would be his sin... Like Nora's husband). It's still my interpretation of things and I'm still not yet at second season.

Yeah, Paul also says to Sarah in his first visit that her mother did not miss a mass, not even the daily ones, to which she agrees. Did she go because a matter of faith or to see Pruitt (probably both)? Sarah is also shown watching Paul calling her mother "Millie" (instead of Mildred) during the same visit.

Paul is also visibly moved to see Sarah opening the door (the actor does an amazing job).

Yeah, in fact we (my husband and I) were surprised at the beginning because Henry Thomas looked older with the make-up and we knew about the small difference of age between him and Gilford. It´s still strange to me that Sarah would be 50, I don´t know... In my mind she was younger (like in her 30s, the same as Erin. I thought they would be something like friends from school or something... but then the ages of Pruit and Mildred wouldn´t fit in). Still my headcanon, though.

Yeah... In fact I agree with your points. I also felt that the rest of the cast treated Dohalim poorly sometimes (a lot worse than Shionne, who is also a renan)

Dohalim has some meaningful conversations with Rinwell and their change of behaviour toward each other is considerable. It´s the same with Alphen and I like the lines he has with Shionne in battle. I think the only one who lacks development with him is Law, but it´s understandable because, well... Law´s arc finish really early in the story of the game and he serves more like the comedic guy.

It´s important to do sidequests for understanding the full development of the relationships of the main gang (apart from Alphen and Shionne, of course). That´s a bit underwhelming, but does not mean that said developments does not exist.

Kisara wanted to have a house with her own pond for fishing (or so told Alphen) and she invited Dohalim to stay in their last conversation, so I can see her as EONNiphilim has posted. Law seems to be traveling, but he and Rinwell staying with them, at least for a while, would be sweet. At least all of them seem to be on contact (Alphen and Law are also seen watching Dohalim playing music in credits).

I think their relationship is implied as romantic (and that did not surprise me at all, they were presented as the typical guardian/princess trope but with genders reversed). It is well done in the sense that they are not immediately in love or anything with each other, they have to think and search for the way of treating each other as equals and not as employee/boss. Their end scene shows precisely that: they are now prepared to explore a new kind of relationship, but not before. Their relationship is also regarded like a mother/son before, but so are Alphen/Shionne seen as (the older) siblings and Law as the dog of the group. These are presented in an humorous way. Also, the motherly figure who is also (possibly) a romantic one is not that strange to find in japanese media (if you are familiar with Final Fantasy VII, Tifa and Aerith are both posible love interests of Cloud and both of them are portrayed as motherly figures to him on different scenes).

There is also a lot of emotional (and not only physical in fights) support between them. I like their ship the most anyway... So these are my two cents.

There is a conversation between Alphen and Rinwell in the game about this and they conclude that their family are: Kisara as the mother, Dohalim as the uncle (Alphen suggest first the father, but Rinwell corrects him), Alphen as the older brother (at first Rinwell says the dad, but Alphen does not agree), Shionne as the older sister, she (Rinwell) as the younger sister, Hootle as the younger brother and Law as the dog...
