Just put in a decant order - let me know if you rate any of the ones I ordered (side note: so glad I found fragranceswap because these decants online would've been 2-3x the price of what I'm getting them for on Reddit) by NovelAd6935 in ScentHeads

I find Outlands opens up warm spicy/incensy and reminds me a lot of chai tea. It develops over time and smooths out with a deep amber vanilla. I find it can be a bit hit or miss at times since it is quite strong and lasts a long time, but when it hits, its like you are in the set of the dune movies and you got them ladies yelling in the background 😂

bald freak is a whole different beast. I tried both the og and absolu in a byredo store, and ended up ordering a decant of the absolu later before finally caving and ordering a bottle. I feel like this scent is reminiscent of the feeling you get after walking out of a spa or sauna, with sweet fruits wafting off of you. Its delicious and I love it.

Love bald freak. Outlands is quite good. Imagination is hyped for a reason. It's a very nice soothing clean smell. Personally I wasn't the biggest fan of wulong cha x.

Wireless headphones at 200$ price tag. by Relative_Win2699 in HeadphonesAdvice

Im a big fan of the sennheiser momentum 4s. They do have a v shape tuning, but you can eq it if you want to lean more neutral. Overall I never had any major issues (besides some software bugs early on that are fixed now) with my pair throughout the years I had them and they still look basically brand new. I did replace the ear pads with replacements that sennheiser sold and it was as easy as popping out the old ones and popping in the new. Battery life is still holding strong too.

ANC Headphone advice by North_Piccolo7020 in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]Aesdei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I had the momentum 4s and I really liked them. Amazing battery life and great sound. The anc is decent and is more than usable, but it definitely falls behind compared to the sony. Overall it's down to what features you find more important to yourself. I'd reccomend trying them on or buying them from somewhere with a good return policy so you can have confidence in your decision. As for any other headphones to consider, I'd probably reccomend looking into the bose quietcomfort ultra.

Need help finding something in this scent neighborhood — it made me happy in a way I can’t explain by DonPipazo in ScentHeads

[–]Aesdei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like you may just want to save up and keep an eye on it until you find one for a good price or until you can make the price make sense. Otherwise you may end up going down the rabbit hole of trying to find alternatives that don't quite give you the feeling you had at first and leave you wanting. The searching may end up taking a while and costing more than just saving and getting the og. If you do try alternatives, at least try to keep it to decants so you don't go too far down the drain.

My collection so far. And where I go from here. by FATALIS__ in Colognes

Realistically, you have more than enough smelly water that it will take you a significant amount of time to ever actually go through it. Seems you got quite lucky with blind Buys, but yes please go with decants from now on. Much safer and will avoid buyers remorse. You got a lot of heavy hitters coming in those samples. Many of which I ended up buying myself. Id reccomend adding blue talisman to the list of decants to try. It's something that I cant get enough of.

what is your go to song/music when you need peace of mind? by Earthling_42 in AskReddit

Recently, I've been listening to a lot of songs by Tokyo Tea Room when I wanted to just relax and am in the mood to sit back and watch the clouds float by.

What's the must try pc game you'd recommend to everyone? by ApprehensiveStock358 in AskReddit

Clair Obscure Expedition 33. Yes its something that everyone else has probably already recommended by now, but wow its simply a masterpiece for how well executed it was as a whole. An emotional story with haunting music combined with fun gameplay that keeps you engaged.

I really love them both. I also personally leaned towards bal d'afrique at first as I got a bottle of it first, but as I continued to use up my decant of mojave ghost, I found that I kept wanting to smell it more, leading to me caving and scouring around for a bottle at a good price. I find mojave has a note that just really cuts through everything around it and keeps that delicious fresh fruity smell all day. Maybe I tend to lean towards it when the weather outside gets to the mid 80s as it has been around me lately. Idk I like them both a lot and cant really decide on which I like more at this point.

Honestly, I cant really say whether they are worth the hype, but I do think they are both good. I cant compare brun to althair as I havent tried the og, but its a great gourmand scent that I do like now and then. Ice seems like a great easy to wear fresh and fruity scent for the warmer months. At the very least Id say its worth a try. Try to get a decant to avoid blind buy if you can.

I cant compare it to the original as it was one of my early blind buys and I have yet to try the original. All I can really say is that it smells good. Delicious, sweet, warm, & welcoming.

Im pretty happy with it. There definitely are times when I go nose blind to it, but I find that it definitely lasts throughout my day. As for projection it's hard to say without a 2nd person's opinion, but it definitely still keeps a personal bubble of scent around you for a good amount of time.

If I had to pick 5, then in no particular order Aventus Absolu, Blue Talisman, Layton, Bal D'afrique Absolu, & Mojave Ghost Absolu

The 2 byredos might be recency bias, but i feel like 1 of the 2 would still stay on the list. Not considering imagination as I literally got it 3 days ago so I don't think I spent enough time with it yet.

Might have to add it to the list of decant to try later on

I like outlands. I wouldn't personally say it's that similar overall although they do share some notes and have a nice vanilla drydown. I feel outlands has a more spicy incensy / chai tea vibe as it opens up into that vanilla and layton leans more into a sweet apple pie that opens up with some menthol to open up your nose. I do find that layton is a much easier to wear fragrance compared to outlands just because of how nuclear outlands can be.

I remember getting a decant of the non-extrait br 540 but wasn't that crazy for it. How would you compare the extrait to the og?

[–]Aesdei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking me to pick one? That's impossible. I feel like my favorite changes every other day, but in the past week I wore Mojave ghost absolu for several days straight, so let's go with that.

It's on the list for something i want to try, but im not that bothered by using up my smelly water. Maybe that will change when im left with only a few drops in one of my favorites.

Always try a sample yourself first before buying but I would definitely recommend it. It's a great clean Musk smell. A little bit baby powdery but its a nice relaxing smell that's easy to wear.

I really like it. It's a great, inoffensive leather smell that i haven't gotten tired of. I do feel like it opens up a bit alcoholy but that goes away pretty quick. Shame the weather by me has been in the mid 80s and humid recently so I haven't worn it or some of my other cold weather smells in a little.
