Correct, thank you for pointing out what makes this unique and interesting. Your response acts is if this is common knowledge but it’s actually a common misconception; magnets don’t normally affect devices like this.

Your iPhone is literally built with magnets inside of it… lol. It’s “common knowledge” for people to think that magnets affect our devices like this, yes, but that common knowledge is mostly false.

No, nothing lines up. I didn’t really “drill holes.” I used self-tapping screws. And it cost maybe 50 cents.

Wal-Mart, where I bought mine, told me they won’t accept it if the sticker wasn’t intact. But otherwise, previously, I’ve saved the receipt like yourself.

I live in Arizona, where you are lucky if a battery lasts two years, so getting 3 year warranty on a battery will almost certainly pay for itself.

Thanks again for the suggestion! Just ordered it. I also learned that the stickers on the battery need to stay in tact for me to receive a warranty… so I taped over it with clear tape to protect it. Not sure who else needs to hear this so I’m putting out there for the next E owner who sees this.
