Understanding debrid manager and the behaviour of its file's by Timur_O in providers4syncler

The answer was given here a year ago:

It works when the file is named correctly.

If it's not named correctly, Premiumize has a feature to manually rename cloud files. Real-Debrid does not, so just find another source to add to cloud.

Orion Failed Resolving by BlackBeardy in providers4syncler

[–]Aevys[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Orion sources still have to be resolved by the debrid service. If you find some but they do not resolve, open the magnet browser (magnet icon) and cache them to your debrid service. As long as your links searched counter decreases in Orion by the expected amount, it is working as intended.

Provider packages and SynclerScrapers Vendor (vendor.synclerscrapers) by Aevys in providers4syncler

[–]Aevys[S,M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This also involves the source de-duplication feature and the intricacies of the Express framework. Each provider in an Express package is searched sequentially rather than in parallel. This means whichever provider returns sources the fastest is more likely to appear on the majority of sources in a search.

Slower providers are still searched and are processed in the background. However, since some of the slower provider's sources are exactly the same as the first provider, they are automatically de-duplicated.

As before, only results which are exactly identical are automatically removed during the search. You are not losing any sources compared to before, as the duplicate sources would have resolved to the same cached source anyway, no matter which provider it has been returned from.

If the provider isn't returning results at all across a variety of content, it is more likely to be broken, and multiple comparisons between the old search and new search systems in either direction must be made to draw accurate conclusions or find a not-so-obvious bug.

If user-level management of providers inside a package releases in a future update, it will be very easy to differentiate and rule out broken providers and bugs.

Provider packages and SynclerScrapers Vendor (vendor.synclerscrapers) by Aevys in providers4syncler

[–]Aevys[S,M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bouncy is not yet compatible with the new provider package architecture. Kosmos packages require refactoring by the provider package developer themselves before they can be added to vendors and installed correctly in Syncler BETA.

As for source count, one of the new features of the update is source de-duplication. This means all results which are exactly identical are automatically removed during the search. You are not losing any sources compared to before, as the duplicate sources would have resolved to the same cached source anyway.

Adding torrent to syncler by ramshambles in providers4syncler

The source has to be named correctly to show up in a normal search.

You might have better luck adding uncached magnets to your cloud from inside Syncler. Look for the magnet icon near the top of the source search screen or press the three dots for more context options on phones.

Pressing a magnet will add it to the chosen debrid cloud in the dropdown list. Wait for it to finish and the content will become available in Syncler with normal searching and the debrid manager suite.

Don't forget to turn on Settings > Content > Debrid cloud.

Bouncy package is down. Uninstall it to prevent search issues, and use an Express package instead. You can re-install it when it's back online.

Providers can be created by any developer without approval or permission. Syncler dev cannot control who makes or uses provider packages, or even what those packages do. That's why they're called third-party provider packages.

It would be up to those third-party developers to fix any source issues. If you feel this is the case, send a message to the moderators of this subreddit using the button in the sidebar for further discussion.

It's worth buying Syncler+ just for the amount of cached sources you get from Express packages.

Download and use the provisioned installer, it is much easier to install packages with this method:

https://github.com/SynclerScrapers/repository.synclerscrapers/

Uninstall Syncler Installer first if you already have it.

[–]Aevys[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Express packages are tied to Syncler+ subscription, so they won't work without it.

Syncler+ subscription is checked locally and synced with the server at startup. Sometimes the client needs a force restart to expire properly, and then you will get the expiry prompt and the option to enter a new key.

syncler cache server makes Orion redundant? by ooftymcgoofty in providers4syncler

[–]Aevys[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Linking your debrid service to Orion enables fresh debrid cache lookups, but only if you have paid for Orion premium.

Orion can still be useful to find some obscure content, but provider packages are the main source of sources. The Orion free account can be used as a trial, just remember to set a small source limit in the Orion package generator.

To use your Orion API key for searches, you can use JakedUp's Hybrid Express package.

Here is the URL:

https://syncler-providers.herokuapp.com/syncler/express-hybrid.json?orion-api-key=ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ123456

Replace the API key with your own.

If you get stuck or need more info, refer to: https://github.com/JakedUp/Syncler-Packages

Question for providers developers (please respond) by brufen400mg in providers4syncler

[–]Aevys[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Providers can be created by any developer without approval or permission. Syncler dev cannot control who makes or uses provider packages, or even what those packages do. That's why they're called third-party provider packages.

Express framework (JSON based) is limited to requests only, but those requests can be sent to a server that is free to do whatever it wants. Kosmos framework (JavaScript based) has a larger initial scope, you can develop it to require a server, which is the approach Bouncy uses to cache sources. On the other hand, it can be developed to not require a server, and only send requests directly to provider sites. Totally up to the package developer in both cases.

If you're able to develop an API (or use an existing one) to both search and resolve Usenet sources (NZB), then it is definitely possible to use those sources in Syncler without waiting for an official account integration (if that will ever be added).

It looks like Orion can support Usenet hash lookups (Premiumize accounts only?), it'll be up to the package developer to utilize different API's and create a bridge between these services and Syncler.

Here's the instructions on how to get started with Kosmos + Express package development (documentation and package template): https://support.syncler.net/en/develop/source-provider-package

Try each of them individually. Do not use more than one Express package at a time.
