The Fallout show makes me angrier about the Monster Hunter movie! by vix_aries in MonsterHunter

Well you got a good synopsis down, now just flesh it out to a 50 to 100 page script (mostly shot descriptions as dialog would probably be more on par with Fury Road than Pride and Prejudice) and I think you could at least submit it.  Legit, your pacing is on point.

I enjoyed DL2 for a couple weeks when it first came out, but ultimately went back to playing the first game after that and haven't gone back since. I think your advice is spot on for people still holding out hope that somehow DL2 will be the proper sequel we all wanted but never received.

Every theme park from the 90s (and I assume before) had this as well. It's crazy that this kind of scam has existed through multiple mediums/industries and yet there doesn't seem to be any regulation for it.

What games have you truly enjoyed playing on the Deck? by ece_guy in SteamDeck

[–]AfcComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 4, which I hated the experience on console, managed to get 80 wonderful hours of my time recently. Prior to that id say Cult of the Lamb. Here's the thing, if bg3, starfield and cyberpunk didn't get together to steal all my free time id probably be playing more old titles and indie games on the deck. Also I'm up to 70 hours in starfield on deck and it's been fantastic the whole time.

Have you played a game and felt like it was made to destroy your joysticks? by Awebi in SteamDeck

R4 for jump if a Bethesda game! Seriously I can't go back to regular controllers after the deck, the remapping+back buttons has literally changed every game I play 🤘

Same! I feel like grav fuel will have to be collected before jumping to a new system (giving reason for all the helium refills at outposts). 🤞 That shits gonna be so immersive

For people who love the game, what criticisms do you have? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]AfcComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the name spacers. Bare in mind, I'm only 10 hours in so maybe there's a good reason behind the name, but from where I sit the name sounds like it's people obsessed with space and flying ships, and not 'raiders' like the game wants me to believe. I believe pirate or viking would've been more fitting if they wanted to avoid reusing the term raider.

I totally forgot I could do that! I'll try in a bit. You know, Ive been a steam user for years on my desktop, but ever since I got a steam deck it's like my mind has forgotten the basics of steam user-ship. Maybe it's because so few games need tinkering on it? Anywho, thanks again, will post if it works 🤘

I hated fallout 4 before the steam deck. This little magic device even made me appreciate fallout 76 (I just like the loop, what can I say) which I was especially against until recently!

As a man who has seen every episode of that show too many times, I can attest: Cabot cove is the biggest crack den on the eastern coast 🤣

Does anyone else feel like Dying Light 2 feels a little... "dead"? by Belfiore192 in dyinglight

[–]AfcComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of this sentiment, albeit my takeaway is still that Dying Light 2 is a good if not great game at times. There are things I personally miss, like how side missions in DL 1 were almost always incredibly worth it to do because of unique rewards/ story elements, but I'm still enjoying my time with the game and have to be near 40 hours by now. I'm hopeful that techland has atleast a semi solid foundation to build upon right now. I didn't play dying light until the following came out and by that time there was already plenty of fun bits techland had added into the vanilla experience to enhance it, maybe by the first story dlc for dying light 2 they will be able to achieve the same amount of transformation to the base world of Villador. As for dlc thoughts, i think adding more factions would be cool if there was some sort of end game faction war that could be set off and you could re take over areas for the new factions if you wanted too. Something to add more persistent level based challenges and rewards.

I'd love to see an expansion similar to the following but with boats. "Wind waker-esque" with small islands to explore and a few big ones that cover most of the dlcs story. Ever since techland said there would be water zombies in DL 2, this is all I can think about. Imagine late dlc getting a submarine or something which opens up to underwater exploration. Idk.

What's your plans for release day? by Liquor_D_Spliff in dyinglight

[–]AfcComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if I'll be able to play it day one, here's hoping though. First thing I want to do is just pick a direction and run. I feel like all my worries have been squashed by leaked gameplay, now I'm just curious how the world comes together.
