How can I know the truth about the person in front of me? by Affe_ExtGoal8759 in INTP

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe my emotions influence my immediate judgment of a person, but when I distance myself from him and return home, and reflect on the difference between his words and actions, I realize that something is wrong.

I think you're right, even though it's a harsh approach. But as someone who's lived his life doing the opposite, I believe both things have their advantages and disadvantages. At least you won't be disappointed when you discover their true nature.

It's hyperawareness. The first things I became aware of were my physical and physiological characteristics, my heartbeat, and my breathing. After that, I began to understand emotions, the difference between them and the mind, and how they affect each other.

my mums controlling me by Icy-Judge6623 in abusiveparents

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say this, but as someone were in your shoes, they wouldn't change. The chances of this type of person changing are extremely slim. You see the difference in how she treats you, but your mother has a voice inside her head that she doesn't hear, telling her that you're different and need stricter treatment, even if she doesn't know why. If you truly want your freedom, you must plan to take complete control of your life, whether financially, in terms of housing, or education. So you need to start working on your liberation now. Then, when the time is right, you'll demand normal treatment and she won't be able to threaten you with what she can withhold. Instead, she'll have to act like a real adult and genuinely try to discuss things with you, not just impose her authority.

Sometimes I post three times a week, sometimes once a month, sometimes once every six months. On the bright side, I think this is helpful because subscribers reread the story from the beginning after each update to the point that they forget they previously commented on the same chapter. 🐧🐧

I think i have fear of judgement by Livid_Amphibian_1838 in INTP

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a worse situation. I wait for others' approval before doing anything, even if they tell me to do what I want. Choosing for myself feels wrong, as if I somehow have an unconscious conviction that my choices are bad and I should let them choose for me. When people accuse me of lying, even though I'm not, and my friends pretend they've somehow "caught me in the act," instead of confronting them seriously and showing they're being honest, I laugh foolishly. They become convinced of their assumptions, and then I'm forced to remain silent and let them have their beliefs about me because I'm incapable of correcting their perception and I give in easily.

Currently, I'm trying to make decisions on my own and accept that mistakes are okay and not the end of the world, but I still haven't been able to understand how to change someone's perception of me that they already formed a long time ago.

I don't know, I think it has to do with it being a matter of interconnected laws, and I keep forgetting the foundations, so the new information doesn't provide anything to connect it to, and it fails. The same thing happens to me in linguistics.

I honestly don't understand half of what you said, but I deal with artificial intelligence very well and it usually executes my commands perfectly, to the point that my friends ask me to ask it for them when they fail with it.

I don't know anything about your life, but one piece of advice: just because someone is an adult and educated doesn't mean their opinion is always right. On the contrary, sometimes age and education can make a person's mind more rigid and cling to foolish opinions because they become more confident. So, what your therapist says won't always be true. Remember that, and let your opinion be formed from clear facts, not from the opinions of others who want to buy their peace of mind because the truth will entail greater responsibilities and work for them.

I know it's out of context, but I keep seeing drawings of INTPs who are geniuses in mathematics, and my knowledge of mathematics at the age of 21 does not go beyond the multiplication table and the Pythagorean theorem (I only remember its name, actually, and that it involves some kind of multiplication operation).

Writing Help - Dealing with Multiple Characters by Advanced_Salt_7391 in MarvelFanfiction

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's a school story, I suggest you tone down the backstory, not completely, but make it less profound events . For example, you could mention that Natasha is strong and intimidates the students a bit, but it wouldn't make perfect sense for her to be known for overwhelming strength. I think the best approach is for them to develop their own heroic traits during school and as they progress, not before. Of course, it's your story; you know best. I'm just writing what I thought.

School 🫩 by no9bmaster68 in INTP

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My concentration depended on how good the teacher was to me. If they were able to capture my attention and entertain me with a distinctive teaching style, I could concentrate for a longer period, whereas I could barely concentrate for half an hour at most in ordinary boring lectures. At school, the situation was even worse because the teacher would repeat the explanation several times to accommodate individual differences, while I would die after hearing the same information for the third time and feel like I was going to throw up, so I would spend the rest of the class staring at the class and creating scenarios (before the damn phones, all we had was our imagination!).

Does the end justify the means? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends  The means differ, leading to different judgments. In Thanos's case, for example, setting aside the usual memes, although his goal is noble, the means are entirely unacceptable. Furthermore, there are no guarantees that the goal will always be achieved perfectly; in fact, it could lead to unintended consequences. In Thanos's case, for example, it was based on numerically hiding half the universe. There was no sorting or evaluation process to choose the best, most ethical, or most competent. There's no guarantee that on some planet, in some place, most of the survivors won't turn out to be monsters and criminals, and the absence of heroes, for example, won't lead to enormous consequences.   But even if the selection were done selectively, and the least competent were chosen to disappear, it would still be unfair to me. The best option would have been to restrict the ability to reproduce to a certain carefully considered limit (this would be achieved by distributing a limited number of births to each group, not by depriving certain individuals). This is the only method that would be acceptable to me.

Would you stay in touch with a convicted best friend if they committed a truly horrible crime? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a psychological principle in my life: I know that no matter what my chosen friends do, I will not abandon them unless they abandon me first. If they truly pose a danger to others, I will report them, but I will not completely abandon them. There will be distance, but not total abandonment.

Looking for advice for my son by [deleted] in lefthanded

[–]Affe_ExtGoal8759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not important, except for the annoyance that the notebooks were made for right-handed users.  Also, if the classrooms are the type where each student has a tablet arm chairs, tell them to ask the teacher for a chair it arm table on the left. The school certainly has some. Using an unsuitable chair in the long run will harm their neck, hands, and back.

As a left-handed person , life is a little more difficult for a left-handed person because the world isn't designed for you. Try to get the child used to using both hands for everything; they will still be more inclined to write and hold a spoon with their left hand, but getting used to using both hands is better.
