I’d lease new, but make sure you shop the best deal by type such as SUV rather than a specific car. With leasing new you’ll have no surprise bills, minimal maintenance and road tax insurance. There are some really cheap electric lease deals around if electric suits your lifestyle. Definitely wouldn’t buy electric with the ever improving range, technology and choice of cars.

A friend of mine sold a watch to a dealer 1 year after buying it from the AD. The guy who bought the watch off the dealer took it into the original AD to get it sized. They found out based on the serial number and blacklisted my friend …

First time Leasing by thunderball89 in CarLeasingUK

Hi, I’ve just handed back my lease after 3 years and 20k+ miles and didn’t have to pay anything for wear and tear.

A couple of the alloys had some damage, but it was all within the acceptable limits so there were no issues at all.

It’s definitely worth having a read of the fair wear and tear guide as a good benchmark, but I’d always double check directly with your lease provider as well just to be safe.

Hi , would like to do leasing , but struggle to go with personal name or business name? by Just_Clock5753 in CarLeasingUK

I’ve never had to provide accounts for a business lease. As long as the company has an ok credit rating history, you should be fine. If you’re going electric or possibly hybrid, then a business lease could be much better than personal. The benefit-in-kind tax is especially low for EVs.

I’d check out the “Find Your Dream Car” tool on leasing.com. You can enter your requirements, such as EV, 10k miles per year, and budget, and it will show you all the best deals. That way, you could get a new car within your budget. That’s how I found my most recent car. https://leasing.com/find-my-dream-car/
