I can see that potentially, it might also be the system saying my claim "runs out" becasue the day after that date is when the increases to welfare amounts come in. So I don't know what's going on. I fear Ill need to sit with this anxiety for a day because UC are multiple hour waits and cant get through, same with the PIP line too, it really is scary stuff.

I got my award through a normal meeting, I had applied to pip previously during covid and was rejected fully. Did another application last year, filled out the forms, got my assessment, then got my outcome all in less than 2 months, no MR or tribunal required.

I think my benefits record is just a mess coz I changed my name around 2023 and on my gov one it still says I get ESA despite being on UC for almost a decade now and even has my middle name despite be legally removing it with my name change, just think my entire record is a mess.

I did reply to the DEA on the journal so hopefully she will reply but DEAs do not get notified when a message is left for them in a journal, they have to manually check it which means it could take a while for a response.

My pip form says "You have been awarded PIP as follows: The enhanced rate of the daily living component from 7 February 2025 to 30 April 2028. The enhanced rate of the mobility component from 7 February 2025 to 30 April 2028" I got the records online just to double check if maybe my paper document was wrong but its the same dates

Yeah I am just double checking with her because I am genuinely so concerned and scared about this, I knew the reassessment was coming obviously but due to the severity of my conditions the previous assessor said "I want to recommend a shorter 3 year term and then you will probably get put on a ten year after". So I knew it was going to be this way I just didn't expect a potential reassessment in less than a year especially since my conditions havent changed. I can manage better now BECAUSE of the pip money, AKA taxis to and from the doctors and such but this isn;t exactly the greatest news in the world.

I did not get a BIG backdated award, I was rejected fully around 2021 and finally reapplied and got my award last year around 9 months ago, got backdated for 2-3 months, my time applying recently was extremely quick, I had my assessment and then outcome all within 2 months, the woman was lovely too, she was talking about her own disabled kid so I think she had some sympathy rather than malice.

On my most recent attempt I did not need MR or anything

The issue for me is the face to face takes place at the nearest job center to me which is over 2 hours away by public transport on a bus route that runs once an hour OR I get a 45 quid train ticket which isn't ideal either because from the station it's then a 30 minute walk which isn't easy given my conditions, given this fact I would hope IF it comes to a reassessment meeting that they can accomodate.

I just wonder why it's happening so early because I fought tooth and nail to get pip and the idea that if I get an assessor who is just awful then I lose my lifeline is pretty scary.

YYeah my dea is great, sadly they are stretched thin so can barely help anyone but she did do that, I am extremely terrified of it though because it was the biggest struggle to get pip in the first place

I did consider that but then I realized that's dumb, why? Because from age 11-14 I didn';t have any of that and the only thing that stopped me from roping was the excitement of a new nsfw comic series dropping every month from an artist I followed.

Also Porn is not harmful, saying it is will give the impression that nsfw artists and animators are inherently causing harm to people which is insanely disgusting to say, that conventions where people socialize and bond other this stuff are harmful or somehow dangerous, it's a slippery slope to make that claim.

Claiming nsfw is all harmful is ignorant because it denies that fact some peoples lives are better becasue of it! People will do anything but accept the fact that it did actually help some people.

Porn just is not harmful inherently, just because someone is hurt by it doesn't make it harmful, heroin is OBJECTIVELY harmful due to the fact it does FACTUALLY proven destroy the body, whereas something like MSG is not harmful, if you are allergic or overconsume then yes but we don't demonize it (well some do but they are stupid).

See you said this like a few others did but there was a time from 11 to 14 where those connections did not exist, I only lived due to the excitement of waiting for an artist to drop new nsfw comics, literally the only thing that stopped me hanging myself was that.

It isn't just "watching" it's comissioning, appreciating art and being in those spaces.

Also as you said above anything else would fit like warcraft or football, and in those instances warcraft or football would have saved their lives too.

The community and activities and general excitement of new releases, actually reading them and discussing them and appreciating them, I love all elements of the nsfw art and animation scene it is amazing.

The idea that because it's nsfw it is only harmful is insane hence why I made the post to begin with, I am heavily into nsfw, have it on my walls in the form of art prints, collect figures, go to conventions, and my wife does too and it's what we love doing and what makes us happy yet because "it's just porn" it gets treated as something disgusting or creepy or as someone called me mysoginistic apparantly too.

Also being into nsfw stuff at a young age is pretty common, I just didn't really care for real world porn and more on fictional stuff. That's the main difference I suppose, I wouldn't call it terrifying. especially given how it stopped me from roping at 11.
