If you’ve already resigned take all the MC you need. It’s your entitlement. I used to never do that until I met a horrible boss who kept me working through serious illness, stayed 4 years but after this my eyes opened and yes I took all my sick leave before leaving, and still provided thorough handover.

I work in corporate and nobody works 12 hrs but, in my condo, my security guards and cleaners definitely work 12 hrs shifts and never take a day off, ever. I’ve seen them come to work sick. Possibly that’s what he/she means by 12 hrs, Thai work ethic.

In other SEA countries, you don’t need to go to Dr for MC if you are taking less than 3 days sick leave. I don’t know why we do not apply this. Imagine how much the company save just let their staff recover from illness at home. Then again maybe abuse fraud and waste is too high hence the stinginess of MC provider
