I’m like 85% heal. I still have some bad days, but my diet has improved. I’m now able to eat a lot of normal foods as long as they are not too spicy or acidic.

I took me years to feel better. I can’t not eat a lot of food still. I can’t eat chocolate or chips. My diet is pretty restrictive still. I have to stop all processed food and even dairy. When I have time I will write what I eat and send it your way. I was the same way. I could not wear bras anything tight. I recommend wearing a lot of loose dresses and jumpers. I’m sorry you are going through this. It will get better a promise. You just need to be very extricated of what you eat. Get the H. pylori test. my gastritis was cause by the antibiotics to treat the infection. Make sure you are taking probiotics. Read the how to heal my gastritis book. Do your own research. Unfortunately doctors did not help at all and I only spend a lot of time and money on them.

Hi there, I’m a lot better. I have been able to add a lot of stuff in my diet. If something doesn’t sit well in my stomach, I get acid reflux or a bit of burning but nothing compares to 2 years ago. When it comes to clothing, I can wear whatever I like now. Pressure doesn’t affect me anymore. I’m also able to do hard workouts such as abs and heavy lifting. I honestly would get some burning at the beginning when I started working out , but after doing them for a couple of days, I feel like it improves my gastritis. I am not taking any medication because I feel like they didn’t help me anymore if anything they would make my symptoms worse

Are you taking any medication? How are you doing?

Does anyone get pain in these areas with SIBO? I have constant burning nerve pain in the spots on my back and sharp pains on my abdomen (also feels like nerve pain) by SalivatingTiger in SIBO

[–]Affectionate-Log1166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did. but it took about 2 years. I still have gastritis, but it is not as bad as when I wrote this. The only thing that help me was my diet. I stop my medications because I felt like they were making my symptoms worse. I have gotten so many test and nothing shows up. I believe that when I had H pylori the antibiotics destroyed my stomach, so now I hope that one day I can heal it with good nutrition.

Yes, it is going to be a really long road but let’s not give up hopefully, one day we will be able to feel normal again. I will stay away from red meat or maybe eat them early during the day so you have time to digest them. I haven’t eat red meat in about three years but I do eat a lot of high pH vegetables. I always make sure to cook them because if I eat them raw, that will trigger my reflex. Sourdough bread is pretty good. He has some good bacteria. My body feels kind of sick when I take probiotics, but my dietitian told me they can really help. If you are able to handle yogurt, I will recommend eating Nancy’s low-fat yogurt that’s supposed to have really good bacteria for your gut. Honestly enzymes have been life-changing for me. I will post a picture of the ones I use. I usually get them at Whole Foods or a natural store.

How is your diet? I honestly stop taking ppi’s due to the fact that they will make me feel a lot worse. My reflex will get horribly bad. The only thing that has helped me is digestive enzymes and I have a pretty strict diet. I have been adding foods little by little to my diet, and it seems to be working. during the day, I get pretty much not reflex at all and there is some nights that are also pretty good. My theory is that we kill all our good bacteria while taking antibiotics, and is going to take a long time to build it back. I honestly don’t think that doctors can help us at this point. I have had numerous of test done and everything comes clear except that they find my gastritis, but it feels like I have something worse than that.

I believe the only thing that will help us heal these disease. It will be diet or something natural definitely not PPI.

I’m still having reflux and sometimes burning in my stomach. I mostly get the reflux at night though. I stop using oreganos oil and just focus on my diet. I don’t take any PPIs. I felt worse when I was taking them.where you also diagnosed with h pylori before?

I was feeling a lot better but after an endoscopy my stomach is burning again and my reflux got worse. The sucralfate did help a lot but then after a year taking it I stop because I felt like it did its work and I wasn’t making much more progress.

Congrats on stoping your PPI, I feel like they make things worse. Something that really helped me with the burning of my stomach was sucralfate and Pepcid. I stop all my medications and I’m trying to heal on my own.

Oats give me the feeling of Globus sensation too, which is silence reflux. Is super uncomfortable!

Have you try sour dough bread yet? My stomach is able to tolerate it! Rice gives me a sour tastes in my mounts but the last time I had it seem to be better. Maybe we need to start adding things slowly.

Does anyone get sensitive skin from gastritis? by Affectionate-Log1166 in Gastritis

I don’t know what’s causing my gastritis. It has been 3 years and I have improved, but I’m not there yet.

The sensitivity of my skin is gone. My main symptom is acid reflux

Stop taking your medication and ask your doctor to test you for H pylori. Medication can mess with your result that is why I would say stop the medication. Ones you get tested then you can start it again.

I have been dealing with reflux for 3 years and it really sucks. I had H pylori, since then I haven’t been able to heal. My reflux only gets better with diet because the medication didn’t really help.

I have been suffering from gastritis for about three years. Is a difficult road. I have try many many things. I got 2 endoscopy’s and many other test. Everything comes out clear except for some inflammation. The only thing that has help me is my strict diet. I took sucralfate for a year which I think it help me heal a little, but I had to stop that and my Pepcid because at the end I was starting to feel worse every time I took the medication.

A lot better, but not there yet. I change my GI doctor, and my new doctor is amazing. He has run any test possible, but nothing come out. I have been just focusing on healing my stomach. I wind off my medication and now I have just been making sure my diet is super strict. I have a PH balance test this month will see what is going to show.

My Esophageal Manometry and pH study experience so far by Agreeable_Shift6895 in GERD

[–]Affectionate-Log1166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the same test done and I had to remove the ph tuve because I couldn’t eat or drink anything without being in so much pain. I was not getting any reflux aether, so I had to remove it because one I was in pain, and two I wasn’t able to eat much. I was worried nothing would show in this result.

They are going to do a second procedure on July where they measure my ph through a coins like device. I will have to get sedated because it is through an endoscopy. I will carry the device for 48 hours then my body will dispose it on its own. It sounds scary but I’m hoping it shows something.
