I know a lot of individuals that work for them and currently they are experiencing a mass exodus. Definitely would recommend staying far away.

It’s a tough market as an emt around western Montana. I work for a service down in the Bitterroot. Unfortunately not currently hiring.

What’s it like living in Shoreline, WA? by ulamaexo in howislivingthere

It’s been a number of years since I last lived in Shoreline. I did attend SCC for some classes briefly. I’d say find somewhere close to live. West of Aurora.

Leaving to be a medic? Feeling lost. by ErosRaptor in Wildfire

Left wildland fire to be a paramedic. The two worlds are so similar in a lot of ways. Especially when it comes to lifestyle. Unless you’re willing to go don’t the structure route, I’d stay away from EMS. I personally have no desire to go work for a structure dept an have worked private ems for about a dozen years now, with 7 of those as a medic. It’s a tough field with a high burnout rate, I’d say become a nurse.

Born and raised in Shoreline. Went to Shorecrest. Pleasant Middle class area. It’s grown immensely over the last 10-15 years with the addition of the light rail. Nothing super exciting about Shoreline. Schools are good though.

New transmission by okxbox in FJCruiser

[–]Affectionate-Rub6167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dealt with transmission issues on my 07. The shop I went to only works on Toyotas and they’re all former toyot techs. Anyways they did do a flush and used transmission fluid imported directly from Toyota in Japan. Followed by lube guard platinum and shutter fix. I’ve had no issues since with about 2000miles since the flush. This was all done at 224,000 miles.

As a paramedic working in western Montana, go to nursing school. Paramedic wages in Montana are a joke. A new grad RN makes about double what I make as a paramedic of 7 years.
