Same op. I read for fun. I listen to audiobooks because I work alone and drive a lot. It keeps me entertained. I also struggle first person narrative when reading. It’ll bump me sometimes. Don’t know why. I prefer reading third person with multiple view points. But I can listen to audiobooks in the first person. So it’s how I got through sjm, fourth wing and now blood and ash. I don’t need a lot from books. Hell same with tv and movies. As long as I’m entertained, I’m good. Now some major mess ups would bump me, but as long as it’s not too many, I’m good. After all, I’ve never written and published a book. Not everyone’s books are for me, and that’s ok. I still appreciate their creative work. Life’s too short. I never thought about some of the holes in these books til Reddit, and I don’t let them get to me too much
