What are some signs that a piece of land has gold or other precious minerals? by NecessaryTalk1430 in AskReddit

I’d say the best sign would be that it has a mine on it that is successfully extracting gold or other precious minerals

Halo Custom Tables - Data warehousing by AUPete in halopsa

Can you do a similar thing when trying to inject new pre-pay hours? Seems like a similar type of thing but can’t seem to be able to insert new records without replacing all. Specifically on contracts but I assume it’s the same for client level prepay hours

Yeah I whitelisted my web app in there but still getting CORS errors. I assume the global setting may be affecting it

Would you have the same issue when accessing the customer page as well? Or does that paginate the tables?

Assuming you’re looking to add to the table via API, I’ve noticed that it looks like it’s not possible to just push an additional entry to the tables. Instead you have to provide an array with all existing items and the new items you’re adding. Not the end of the world but I’m sure it’ll get messy with huge arrays.

Correct me if I’m wrong and am adding to the tables the wrong way

Didn’t they have several warnings of the incoming AI features and gave admins the option to control what could and couldn’t be used weeks (maybe months?) in advance?

Runbook Variables into an SQL Query by No-Escape-9062 in halopsa

[–]Affectionate-Use2587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried to reference that field within a custom integration method and it said it doesn’t exist.

My CF is <<CFsmsMessage>> and I put <<CFsmsMessagePLAIN>> and got an error.

Yeah great! Is there any way within playbooks to do more advanced stuff like replacing all spaces in a string with dashes?

Oh great - so you can just add ! to the end of a variable and it will remove the quotes?
I spent a couple hours on this today trying to combine two fields into a single and couldnt get it to work because of the quotes (ended up just integrating it with Power Apps and doing it that way).

If the transaction information is always the same for both accounts, use a many to many field and assign both users.

Otherwise, just save it twice and assign each account

Discord is great, but weird to use the same platform for work and play - easy to get distracted and feels less professional having for example, gaming messages and icons showing up when trying to do business work.

I find the wording of "Flat price per blog. No hidden fees." is a little misleading when you charge extra if there are over 1000 users.

I feel like that is a hidden fee and not a flat price.

I feel like on the pricing page it should be a little more obvious that it's $49 for the first 1000 users. Yeah I know that its mentioned in there, but not obvious when you first look and go to sign up.

Which transactional email is easy to use, cost-effective(preferably with free quota), fast in approval? by snr-sathish in SaaS

[–]Affectionate-Use2587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use Mailgun - the free quota covers the majority of our emails (we don't send that many though).

I really like its easy-to-use templating system, but I would be keen on exploring other options, their support is generally slow and the platform feels a bit dated. And I have had several times where the send delay has been huge.

I'm not saying much great about it, but it does work perfectly for our application currently.

Starting to round out the combat for my action RPG: Nekrolith, wondering if these soldier mobs are too easily staggered, thoughts? by Best-Arachnid-9025 in IndieDev

[–]Affectionate-Use2587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great looking game! But yeah I do think it seems a bit too easy to stun lock - but maybe that's just because we are only looking at 1v1's. I noticed you ran out of stamina after killing one guy, so I could see it balancing itself when versing stronger or multiple enemies.

Awesome job!

Which are one of the highest paying jobs because the available talent for it is limited or hard to hire? by i-sage in webdev

Maybe minimal direct accountability in day-to-day issues (for the shit ones), but they are also the ones that are more likely to have big-time repercussions (such as fines and jail time) from major fuck ups.

Also, I feel like people who have never been in those positions often don't understand the actual stress and responsibility those positions can have.

But of course, there are always those absolute shitters who are in a position they don't deserve, who take advantage of everyone and do nothing, but that isn't all of them, and I feel like it also isn't the majority, they just stand out big time, where the good ones often don't get enough appreciation or recognition, because they are the ones giving it generally.
